You can't really compare GK to outfield player. Courtouis would probably play around 10-15 games per season (in Cup competitions) had he stayed at Chelsea, Denis could easily play in 30 or 40 games.

Well yeah? I could easily imagine a scenario where we bought him back for that measly clause and sold him on for a much bigger sum a window or two later.

As preposterous as it may sound, i think Suarez would be very competent sub for Alba, if he's out injured or other reasons. To be honest, he seems way better defender than Alba, given his recent performances and is perfectly qualified as wingback too. Basically Sergi Roberto type player, who is decent in attack and linking up and very hard worker defensively. I think one of our weaknesses recently is having very poor wingbacks. Alves is old and inconsistent and Alba absolute shit in defense, while not really that good in offense either. Think Neymar has stolen his fire too as he's shit crosser an there isn't really any reason for him to go forward other than purely tactical (to stretch opposite team's defense).
I think Suarez could do both functions better although it's just a guess of mine.

Denis Suarez as a fullback? No way, he is not able to play there.
I am really looking forward to see him with us next year though. Someone who flew under the radar a bit. While everybody talks about Deu, Samper and Alen, Suarez is the one playing a great season for a club that is having a strong EL campaign and is having no problems to qualify for CL next season. He has become one of the best and most consistent La Liga players.
