Well, it is an opportunity of the market and we have a manager who knows how to make him functional.

Wijnaldum, de Jong, Donny, Pedri is the most un-Barcelona quartet of midfielders I can think of in years though. But it may enable us to play the system that Koeman and Giant Head have had success with at Netherlands and Ajax.

Why do you assume Wijnaldum will replace Busquets and not play alongside him?

I don't. I just left him out to excentrate my point as the majority of midfielders would be far from the traditional Barcelona midfielder. Like Puig aswell.

Forgot to list Ilaix too, another one who along with the above quartet is more accustomed to quick vertical transition football and less pausa.

Yeah, but what success? It's not like they have been destroying football?

It's the same principle as if a coach would bring the typical fast lad + strong lad to play english long balls towards, as it was succesful elsewhere, and replace Messi in the process.
Conte would be the same, continue to build on that 532 with crosses and pressing. Why don't they do it somewhere else? And let Barcelona use a system suited for THEIR players.

The agents of Netherlands international Donny van de Beek have snubbed interest in the 24-year-old Manchester United midfielder, who is determined to earn a regular starting place. Times
