Segunda teams can't afford his wages.

I think the main problem is clubs don't want to use one of their three non-EU spots for a player like him. If/When he gets spanish passport in January there will be more interest in him.

Barça could pay a part of his wages. It's better than paying it fully. His main goal is citizenship now, and I don't blame him. One year away from it, and he won't get another shot at it.

Just leave him unregistered and don't think about him at all this season. Let him get his citizenship and kindly tell him to go away.

Soo on short there is little chance we will get rid of him this summer? Why don't Barca offer me 50k/week for doing nothing? I'm experienced in that..

With all the salaries Barca's been paying for some players to do absolutely nothing the whole members of this forum could live happily ever after.

If he goes on loan it's almost guaranteed we'll have to pay half of his wages if not more. But as I said the problem is no club wants to use one of the valuable 3 (or 2 for Segunda clubs) valuable non-EU spots for a player like him. If/When he gets a spanish passport in January it will be easier to get rid of him I think.

I'm happy for 1/10 of that and I can also personally provide cold beverages like Coca Cola to Messi after each training sessions. You want a pizza? I can deliver whatever he wants. Neymar wants a Big Mac? I'm on it.

I hope we don't actually reward him further for this shit by registering him. He needs to stay in the stands for the next 6 months, then he gets his citizenship and he's finally out. Damn, what a good life he's having...gets paid probably in a month more than many of us will make in a lifetime, hangs out with Messi, Iniesta&company and trains lightly and chilling, but when it's time to actually prove himself in matches, he doesn't play anyway, so he's got no critics to worry about. :douglas:

And Vermaelen's, and Adriano's. Arda and Vidal almost go into that category as well. FC Barcelona, mes que un club indeed. It's a charity!

I miss the time when Tito used to say and act like it wasn't a charity.

Despite not representing his country Brazil this summer Douglas is given extended holidays since he will join the team on August 8 [sport]

He is good enough to play in about a third of the teams from La Liga. He is obviously way out of his league at Barca, but he'd probably be a good player for an average Spanish team like Granada for example.
