Xavi has made numerous poor decisions this season including in the first leg of this tie by starting Alonso/Alba and putting Araujo RB and ripping our defence apart.

Xavi is/was my favourite player at the club and I'll never feel a bad emotion toward him but as our coach, I'm not nearly as optimistic as you are.
He's showing high levels of naivity in Europe.

The first leg XI was super mystifying, totally agree there. That is what I meant by being too trusting.

He keeps falling into this fallacy of experience in these big, important matches instead of just trusting what the form and numbers are showing him. Only vet, experienced player I somewhat trust still is Busi (MaTS too if you count him). Other than those two, no one else 30+ deserves a guaranteed spot.

Again, too trusting is his reluctance to react to the match dynamics. I think at times he trusts too much in either the players finding the solutions themselves or our time on the ball to eventually break games in our favor later in the match.

He should have adjusted Araujo first leg to be closer to Rashford, for example. Maybe sub a 3rd forward sooner or start the match with one tonight. His European experience was always a big question mark when he first took the position so I somewhat expected a bit of this.

These are things he can learn however, he is still a very young coach. I will have higher European expectations next season and I wont let what were quite a few factors not in his favor in Europe obscure the good work he is doing.

Its about building a lasting project, not a project that produces one good season and then fades away. If he learns from his mistakes, we solidify our finances so we can improve this squad, I have faith it will produce what we want.

The transfer recruitment, mainly in attack has to improve and quickly however. Im sure the finances are playing a role in this, and we have done decently in MF and DEF but we have 2.5 misses with our attacking acquisitions now and that has to improve this summer. Especially with Ansu not looking the same, we need some sort of quality up front and some shake ups soon.

Barcelona have just won one of their last 15 games in Europe against teams from the top 5 European leagues. [opta] #fcblive

We are a fucking joke. Heads needs to drop for this. We need to bring someone who knows what the fuck they are doing in European competitions.

He isnt reacting at all in these games.

Looks like a rabbit in headlights.

Man Utd were battering Barca from first second of that half and it took 2-1 down and 70 mins gone to change anything.

Fucking Roberto and Kessie up and around a 34 year old striker is awful.

Shit tactics as in first leg with his defence.

Yea, I honestly couldn't believe what I was watching.

Xavi is so clueless. He puts out lineups that I would jokingly play if I were to try and lose on purpose. He waited until the game was over to make any changes.

Just real, real bad.

Sup lads

How's Laportas budget

SPOT ON.
Laporta wasted future money on what? This? Money is in Europe. Not in La Liga... There will be a bankruptcy soon. This fail in UCL and EL will hurt the budget as a wildfire. WHat will he sell next year? Fucking grass and air? This is a big no no...

Clueless post, lot of money in La liga
A lot of money in winning la liga
Going out of europa is nothing, finishing 2nd in la liga instead of first, we are screwed. Finanicially.

Yeah cause 100m from winning la liga and 2m from europa is comparable

get a grip

First and second place difference isn't that big. We dropping out from CL and EL hurts us way more than second place of LaLiga, which is pretty much guaranteed now.

No one said anythin about CL. Stricly a comparison between EL and LA liga drop off to second place.

And dropping down to second place in La liga hurts us way more than getting out of Europa. Financially.

Dropping out of UCL was a total financial disaster. Winning La Liga is not enough to draw in REAL star players. Being a laughing stock of the entire Europe for several years is going to turn down REAL great players. No RAPHINAS; ERICS; FERRANS; KESSIES and similar self exclaimed stars. We will only attract them with money. Which we don't have. So if you are year by year a mockery in Europe, with no money from Europe, with no sponsors because real money sponsors DON'T fuckin care about La Liga... make some counting...

This club is in a financial spiral downfall as we talk. Only big money is from UCL+UCL attracting sponsors and only winning EL could bring some glory.

1st in LL is like 60m, and 2nd is like 55m. Same shit. OK, there is additional revenue money which is like some 7m difference between 1st and 2nd. it is about sponsors and glory. But if you add UCL money a top of that and it is an ADDITIONAL around 40m just for entering groups + winning all group games + reaching round 16.
You can clearly see that with these FAILS Barca lost let's say HALF of what they would get as a LL winner with failing to win ONLY 6 GAMES. Plus SPONSORS are not crazy to pay BIG MONEY for a team that gets TRASHED year by year by year in UCL.

It is about getting money and players from RESPECTING the club from good players and sponsors. Tell me now which star high-earning player will come to Barca if the club has no money, huge salary cuts and limits, shady lawsuits, and are laughing stock of Europe?

P.S: I just saw that you can't read properly and missed out on my: There will be a bankruptcy soon. This fail in UCL and EL will hurt the budget as a wildfire

P.P.S. Don't bother to answer me. I don't care. I made my analysis in numbers and explained what I meant and any further discussion would be just some stupid internet fight where you would be "nit picking" and "overseeing my point" just so you could look like some "smartass". I am to fold for that shit.

Have a nice weekend.

Everyone knows droppig out of CL was a disaster.

I was simply making a comparison between EL and la liga, nothing to do with CL.

but we will be in CL again next year and all this makes 0 difference who we will bea ble to sign.

The quality we missed in the first 11 exceeds what Man UTD did, granted, but it doesn't look like we will be going anywhere in Europe under Xavi.

All the recent coaches are form the same mould. They all want to turn back time and fail to realize times have changed. As long we stick with this (false) Barca DNA we wont winn anything in Europe.
