I have a feeling we will make a big effort to sign him next summer if he continues to impress. He seems to be the most obvious option out there in terms of young top quality centre backs who fits the profile that we are looking for. Porto were never going to let him go this summer after losing both Moutinho and James Rodriguez. He will cost a lot and we will face stiff competition from Chelsea among others so we mightn't end up getting him but I do think he will be our no.1 priority. Of course this could all just be wishful thinking......

I really wouldn't give a rat's ass. ter Stegen is already in (only official announcement due), we absolutely need a CB this summer. Then get the absolute best if you want to stay at a high level. City, PSG, Bayern, Chelsea, Real and so on all spend much more on players than we do. If you want to keep up with the arms race, make sure La Masia is working properly. And if you still miss something then, like a CB at this point in time, just splash the cash.

I believe he had a 35M or 40M buyout clause, considering we pay 10M for a young kid (Halilovic) and upwards of 80M for Neymar, I'd say do it. No excuses.
