Absolute beast in Fc Porto this season. Plays with Varane in under-23 team. Monster body, speed, great in heading in defence and offense. Even has some skills when starting the offensive plays.
Will be the next big sale in defenders from Porto.

He is young yet, but has a lot of potential.
His problem is that sometimes he this he is Beckenbauer, and he's not.

Yet, another great prospect from Porto, best team in Portugal :beer2:

We should buy this guy. If we're not going to get a world class CB a la Hummels or Silva then him and Martinez would be great to solve our defensive issues. Like Bayern have shown with Dante and United you just need balance in your defence. Two strong centre backs, a more defensive minded wing back and a more attacking minded one.

This is nothing new to us really, we used to play Alves-Puyol-Pique-Abidal. Then first Pep and than Tito got hubris and tried to break down buses (or have even more attack options against weaker La Liga teams) by adding another attack minded smurf fullback - like all other things stayed the same, but they didn't. Other teams built slowly and analyzed our weaknesses, 2 fast technical and skilled wingers and calmly passing their way out of our press was all it took (that and trying to get as many corner kicks as possible).

Mangala is an absolute beast in the air and he wouldn't cost very much either.

He is a fantastic beast of a defender. I never mentioned him before because we were looking for "World Class" defenders. But any defender who can hold down a starting spot on FC Barcelona is World Class.

I'd welcome Mangala since he won't cost a lot and will leave us funds for a GK and possibly another CB.

Him and another CB would be a beast of a transfer, would sort us out for the present and future, knowing us that will not be the case and will end up with some DM who use to on some occasions play as a CB

Damn, sometimes I wish I were the sports director of Barca. Why do we not chase after this guy? He is young and extremly talented. He is atm better than many other defenders and he is only 22. I wish we would buy him but it is relatively impossible with Abramovic's money..
