Nice! I do have one question though. Who is wheelchair lol

Wilshere presumably.

From that squad this would be my team:-

-------------------------Hart----------------------

---Johnson-----Jagielka-----Cahill------Baines-------

----------------------Gerrard-------------------------

------------Henderson----------Chamberlain-----

----------------------Sterling--------------------

-------------Sturridge-----------Rooney------------

For England standards, this team is looking pretty good actually. They can maybe surprise Italy and sneak out of the group along with Uruguay.

Carrick and Cole would've been useful. Carrick is arguably the closest thing England have in terms of a proper defensive midfielder. Against smart teams, England will have to be very disciplined in order to minimize space between the lines. Fielding Gerrard as a CDM would not be ideal when England are under pressure.

If Henderson starts for England in Brazil, I will refuse to watch the game.If he starts with Henderson, Lampard and Milner I will cut the plug off my tv.

No Barkley, Lallana ?

that defense, if they had a prime rio and terry, plus that new talent in midfield they could do something

Henderson has been brilliant this season. Definitely deserves a spot more than Wilshere, for example, and he's freakishly mobile, probably the perfect partner for Gerrard.

I'd like to see a diamond, personally, but I doubt it'll happen.

Hart
Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines
Gerrard
Henderson Wilshere
Sterling
Sturridge Rooney

Shit forgot Lallana :D

I'd play this team having thought about it again:-

Against Uruguay and Costa Rica and other opposition which are weaker defensively/tactically I'd play

----------------------Hart----------------------

---Johnson----Cahill--------Jagielka-----Baines-------

-------------------------Gerrard------------------------

-------------Henderson------------Lallana------------------------

-------Sterling-------Sturridge--------Rooney-----------------------

Be really bold and attack on the front foot. Lallana and Rooney linking up on one side and Henderson and Sterling the other with Gerrard threading them balls.

Against Italy and opposition that will be tougher to break down and likely to be a more physical battle I'd play this team:-

--------------------------Hart----------------------------

-----Johnson--------Cahill------Jagielka--------Baines-------

-------------------Milner-----Gerrard----------------------

-------Henderson------Lallana-----------Rooney-------------

------------------------Sturridge------------------------------

I'd have Milner and Gerrard in midfield and Henderson and Rooney in midfield helping them out then running on to through ball from Lallana and Gerrard.

I think the back six (including Gerrard as holding midfield) picks itself, assuming no injuries.

We're going to need Gerrard there too, to help bolster the defence and look to release the wide players as he has with L'pool this season. He's still integral to the team imo.

Pretty much everyone I speak to wants to see the youngsters given a chance, even if it's just for the experience (as we can't win it).Yet we all know that Roy will be conservative with selection.

Regardless of how England do, am really looking forward to this WC for a change, mainly because it's in Brazil and the crowds will be passionate. Can't wait !
