Mind you being healthy enough to train and fit enough to play are very different things. Nobody should expect much of Abidal this year, but if we get to see him play at all this season that alone would be a big boost.

Doctors have given him the green light, and he wouldn't be so focused if he knew he wouldn't be able to be completely return to 100%

I think he may just be able to play at that high level again.
