Erling Haaland

Sevilla made 2 mistakes, one of them was loosing the ball to Haaland. The 2nd mistake resulted from that.

It is luck more than Haaland calculated everything from beginning. Cmon, he is great but not that superhuman.
It is like all Barca mistakes this season are calculated and planned perfectly from beginning.

And who says its "planned". He pressured them in their own half, resulting in what happened. Did he know that would happen? No. Did it still happen. Yes. You're pressuring the opponent because you bank in on the chance something happens from that, not because you are Nostradamus and have engineered everything from the get go.

And it is his teammates who won the ball then passed it to him so he can score a tap in. It is Sevilla's mistake + Dortmund teamwork rather than Haaland individual brillance play

Yes, it's the teamwork of Haaland, Reus and Schulz in the whole attacking sequence. Pressing has nothing to do with "luck", it actively focusses on forcing the opponent into trouble which they did. You're acting like I said it's all Haaland and noone else, when I really simply say that his part in the goal goes beyond just standing in the center and looking pretty.

There is something bipolar about rating attackers players for their "finesse shots" over their defensive contribution, while at the same time complaining how Barca concedes half a douzen goals per CL game because noone is arsed to do the work some of those "ugly players" put up.

50% of the game is about the collective approach to win the ball, having an extra player for situations like that is more vital than looking out for players with prettyness traits that are purely situational. I mean I don't care in the end if you get a boner from a Lautaro Martinez first touch compilation, but quite frankly, that dude at the front would have not made that goal happen.

i didn't say i rate players based on their "finesse shots". its just that i prefer more technical strikers.

also, i never said that haaland won't be all that or that he wouldn't succeed. i just see him as a striker more suited for a team like bayern or premier league teams.

Lautaro is shit. Nobody gets boner from Grizzy 2.0

No single person on thus forum would like him here.
His best feature is running and pressing.

Scored about 40 goals with pens in 4 years in Seria A.

I would sell everyone and their mother if it meant that we'd be able to sign Haland. Only players that should be out of the question are the first team youngsters and De Jong.

Dembele for 40m
Puig for 10m
Lenglet for 20m(maybe some EPL team takes the bait)
Firpo for 15m

That's 85m alone in disposable players. Push comes to shove dip into some other players with market value like Trincao, Dest, maybe Collado from the youth team too. We could put some semblance of an offer if he truly becomes available.

Ideally some others would follow suit too but alas, that's too much too ask in our current position.

Cover the departures with Garcia, Emerson, Gaya, maybe Alaba if we're desperate enough, but then I would let Roberto leave too in that case since Alaba could be the versatile player instead.

Wishful thinking, I know, but it could be done imo. At least just show some intent, maybe he doesn't leave this summer and we could convince him next year when a fixed release clause comes in effect.

Don't let this guy choose another team without a fight. I think he'll be even better than Mbappe. He's a must if we want to regain our status.

Hell i'd even run the club into bankruptcy for him.

Lets just pray he stays put this summer so we can go all in on him next year.

We can sell Umtiti, Coutinho, Braithwaite, Firpo and Pjanic to raise funds. I'd also sell Griezmann if Messi stays.

I dont care what it takes. He wants X amounts of money? You give it to him. Raiola wants a huge ass comission fee? He better get it. Raiola wants his D sucked? Well Laporta better suck it. All in on this guy, he is a must.

Fuck technical strikers who don't score goals. Give me Haaland over anyone else any day. Besides with the players Barca have and will build the team around we won't play a slow style of football where we aimlessly pass the ball sideways for 90 minutes.

Also, Borussia Dortmund average the 5th most possession in European Football in the top five leagues. Dortmund certainly play a quicker and more suicidal style than us, but it's not like they sit compact and run counter attacks all day long. They usually dominate possession and do face some low blocks as well. It's just that football in Germany is a bit more open than elsewhere which makes it seem like they have acres of space when people only watch certain highlights.
