Mediocre or rubbish really doesnt matter too much. He doesnt look excpetional right now.

One is very different to the other. He was on course to become the youngest ever player to score in 6 CL games and because he was stopped by this year's champion all of a sudden he's technically rubbish as bandwagon comes to a halt? People shouldn't resort to this with young players full of potential.

I never said he was a big deal. Watched a couple of games and don't see anything so far except great physical attributes and movement of course. Majority of his goals were also first touch finishes from inside the box. Might kill it in the EPL, but he is not suited for Barca at all for now.

He got hyped as fuck. Maybe a shit first game to watch of him, but he was still very underwhelming technically. Thats the one aspect you should normally see even in bad performances. His youtube stuff doesnt look too different as well. He has a very impsoing physique, but I think he would be wise to go to the likes of Dortmund first.

Sad his CL run ends here but respect to him for scoring 8 or 9 goals. That's impressive as fuck for a 18yo. In the end he's had an average/bad game against the best team in the world. He'll become better and better.

News about the player arriving in Dortmund with Raiola and being escorted by the club staff.

Not saying it is done, especially when we know how Raiola works, but negociations are obviously well on their way.

I remember another big tall striker like him banging in lots of goals for Salzburg called Marko janko I think. I think Haaland is quicker and maybe technically better but he is not barcelona material from what I've seen so far

So German newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten, who are apparently reliable when it comes to Dortmund, are saying he landed in Dortmund last night and was picked up at the airport by people working for the club.
At least that’s what the biggest newspaper here in Norway is reporting just some minutes ago.

Edit; The fat rat, Raiola, was also seen leaving the airport together with Håland. After reading the Dortmund subreddit, the source seems to be regarded as extremely reliable. People over there seems to believe in the 20M clause, tho. Which I find hard to believe.

Although buyout-clauses are not a common thing in the Red Bull world, he might have one as he already was a prospect when he joined them and has chosen Salzburg over the likes of Juve. A realistic price in his contract might have been a condition to sign with them.

However, Dortmund is a great choice to make the next step in his career. Kid is smart and when Haaland continues to perform in Germany like he did in Austria he can literally join every team in Europe.

I don't think he is the right fit for us. While he is fast I don't think his control in tight spaces or his ability on the ball is anything to brag about. He's still young and can improve but at this point it would be another pointless purchase imo. He wouldn't develop here worth a lick.

The fact that Raiola is his agent makes it even harder to see this guy coming here, ever.

Dortmund is the right step up for him anyway. Any top/elite team and he would have way too many expectations on his shoulders.

Sounds like the dude might join Man Utd after all. I thought players like him would learn from what happened with Pogba.

Raiola will just ship him to United for a few years (with the idea of a move to Europes elite should United remain where they currently are) and in turn, United will allow Pogba to leave. imo this is what Raiola was planning for De Ligt but the dutchboy had more sense

its sad but i wouldn't go near any Raiola clients

So far, we can say that de Ligt made the right choice. He is getting plenty of playing time at Juventus, partly due to Chiellini injury, and can enjoy Champions League.
