Seriously though, I'd take a good look at Amine Gouiri if available for affordable price. His floor is probably someone like Nabil Fekir (which wouldn't be great but not that bad either) but if fully develop his potential could become the next Benzema imo.

I think Jonathan David is more ready and also worth a serious look at. But it would be hard to find an alternative to Haaland. Hell there probably isn't one not named Mbappe, and he is out of the realms of possibility.

David would be a great signing as well but think Gouiri will be cheaper.

Would still love to get Adeyemi too. He's more or like a done deal with Dortmund but until official can still hope he changes his mind.

I dont think they would take a punt on a young CF of that level and more likely to try and get Firmino or similar for cheap and then spend money on other areas of team... could then see a Rafinha, Antony type wide player to allow Torres to be another CF option.

Cant see Haaland coming despite the rumours.

Panicking and getting some random talents is the worst we can do. Just switch focus to the wing or something, where it's much easier to find established players. CB should be the prestige transfer anyway.

Salary no, circus around him, would fit right in. Think he's one of the best finishers out there. Market isn't too great so other top tier options are limited unlike previous years.
