Never talk about star players again it's cringe

Rafael Yuste (Bar?a vp): "Haaland? Almost ruled out." [via marca]

Yuste: "There are transfer operations that we should not finalize for the sake of protecting the club."

I will give it to you, it is cringe when Laporta and his buddy openly talked about Haaland or players under contract with another club like this. It is OK if we couldn't afford to get him, they could have and should have just said "he is a Dortmund player, no comment".

Exactly it's sooo painful they did this with Messi only to come out and say yeah sorry we actually can't sign him WE WILL NOT RISK THE FUTURE OF THE CLUB or some shit

What is annoying is not the 'we can't afford him' line, but

that these comments come after an irritating period of 1 year since Laporta became elected of pushing Haaland rumours, leaks to the press that we are snatching him, heightening up fans expectations, throwing big lines like 'Barca is back' and all that shit...

... only to come up with the 'oh we don't want to put the club into danger' crap ONLY AFTER Haaland rejected us for City and RM.

NO, you PUT THE CLUB in DANGER already with your proposal to him, and you would have jeopardized the finances of the club with the contract you would have given him, *IF he had selected us ahead of the others *
just because that was YOUR WET FANTASY, not giving a shit about the finances of the club FUCK'n HYPOCRITE

An interesting piece by Guilem Balague.

He confirms what we all know: he wants RM.
But develops City's interesting tactic to lure him there:
They are telling him that it's not the best time to go to RM, and to wait a few years until Benzema retires.
Meanwhile he can play these years at city under Pep.
Clever...

He can go to city to hone his passing, then he can come to Real when Benzema leaves. But he might play second fiddle to Mbappe who will immediately have the team built around him.

Fair chance he gives his best years to City and by the time he ends up in Madrid his body is broken down and is damaged goods. Hard to predict how an injury prone physical monster that relies on pace and strength will age.

To be fair City are right, he'd be joining Madrid, a club who has a better player in his position. For how long he stays better, is anyone's guess. But timing is everything.

Barcelona VP Yuste said today that he has our offer, sporting and economic, and that they have not been informed yet that he has decided where to go or that they are out of the running for him.

Did say it's very difficult though and sounded like he already knows it's down between City and Real Madrid, but probably don't want to say that publicly.

GOAL has learned that they are now sceptical about convincing him to continue his development at Santiago Bernabeu.

The Norway international is not certain that it would be the best career step for him to link up with Mbappe and Benzema because he wants to be the main man wherever he plays.

I dont think he goes to Real as he wants to be the main man .. City would suit him but he must realise how physical the premier league is .. Fernando Torres said it took 5 years off his career as it is so physically demanding

La Liga with Barca is an obvious place

What's obvious about going to a broke club that hasn't won the league or champions league in forever
