Ernesto Valverde - V1

From the looks of it It seems his intention is to maintain the team's unbeaten run at all costs, which really is a big risk when you consider what happened to Big Sam.

Then Gerard should stop being a bum and do his job better. He has a too good of a squad to be in this situation.

The whole 'B team has a match' excuse does not fly. Players like Alena are not going to be playing for the B team for much longer. A golden opportunity like this one for our most prized youngsters to show us and Valverde what they've got it more important than any insignificant B team match.

If Gerard keep fucking up all season it will mean that Alenya has to stay stuck with Barca B that way too.

It's ridiculous, especially when we've spent so much money on Barca B players, bringing in experienced players with Segunda experience like Lozano and Arnaiz. Let's fuck up the transition of our most talented player from Barca B to Barca just because our Barca B coach is fucking up the B team.

Point is; B team is there to develop players and those youngsters need first team experience. It's been like this since I can remember. Murcia was meaningless unless Alena gets played next to Iniesta to learn combos or Cuenca gets to play with Pique to learn positional play etc. They neither played with our stars nor played against challenging opposition. Sporting was a golden opportunity and it's gone. Valverde doesn't look long-term, that much is obvious.

I am not throwing him under the bus as tactician but I am not happy with him either. Maybe we got spoiled with Cruyff, Van Gaal, Rijkaard and Pep who had vision and guts but that's what made Barca great. Settling for narrow-minded guys like Valverde is not in Barca spirit.

I would blame Valverde for this decision.
Aleñá was supposed to be called up regardless of the situation of the B team.
Poor Aleñá..:( we have Lucho 2.0

Worse than Lucho at this. Lucho gave game time to Sandro and Munir, and Roberto. That's 3 players who played quite some minutes under him. Roberto at RB was his own project and he plays RB to this day. I'm waiting to see how many players Valverde will promote. So far, none. Didn't give minutes to a single young player form Barca B. Preseason and some game in early Copa rounds, those don't even count.

Lucho played Munir and Sandro in CL vs the likes of PSG and Ajax.

Roberto only got a real chance when there was noone available. Similar story with Sandro-Munir during our transfer ban.
Don't think Lucho was fond of youngsters but he was keen on rotations.

Lucho decided to use Munir & Sandro before the transfer ban and called them before that, and Roberto asked to leave and he told him he needs him and convinced him to stay and played him as DM in his 1st season, and in May told him he will be used as RB afterwards even with renewal of Alves & Vidal signing

Below is the team Pep played in the CL after we won our group in 11/12. Valverde has zero excuses for this shit, he's going to play a bunch of deadweight players who will mostly all be out the door in the summer and neglect young players who could potentially star for our team in the future.

He doesn’t understand the value of youth development through La Masia or any serious youth development program for that matter. Not like a Pep Guardiola, Oscar Garcia (La Masia) and Rijkaard (Ajax).

This bastard has as much Barça DNA as I do. Not even playing under Cruyff has done much for him. He’s got no imagination, no vision, no plan... He’s about as stale as you can get. I don’t see him lasting longer than the end of the season even if he wins trophies.
