I used to laugh at teams that park the bus while being bankrolled by Russians oligarchs and oil states with hundreds of millions of euros. I mocked them for their coward approach with world class players. There's is nothing I despise more in football than an elite-team bus parking their whole TGV fleet. We are now one of those teams. My blood is fucking boiling right now.

Don't dump Pep in together with them. Pep has gone out to better teams in the CL since he left Barca and won with us.
Valverde went out to Roma with this team.
I agree with your point but he was referring to overplaying players and running them into the ground, something bielsa was known for

Lucho had prime Suarez, prime Messi (his last great year), and peak Neymar. Let's not kid ourselves. Those 3 players won us the treble to a large extent. Sure, everybody was good, but they were the difference makers.

His persistence in playing a woeful Suárez instead of wingers and as a consequence a 2 man central midfield has been his downfall in my opinion. Even tonight... There was so much space in behind but because he is bereft of courage and guile he opted not to utilise it.
Personally I don’t blame the players, they’ve been utilised incorrectly ALL season both in terms of positioning as well as minutes.

I know, I said so myself - but lets not pretend a league title is a walk in the park. But the thing is not that we miss CL, which is very disappointing, but in my eyes we are not a "win CL or go f*** yourself"-kinda club. The thing is that losing 4-4 on aggregate to Roma is a downright embarrassment. All the mythical tales from the PSG-game has barely become legend before we have turned ourself into a bottler-club - how could that happen so fast?!! It was the same players minus Neymar - and that maybe the difference [not him, but the extra attacking player], because we had Dembele, but didn't want to use him, even when we obviously missed some energy and attacking spark.
It is a huge fail of Valverde, this - especially because we didn't concede 3 in the last 10 minutes! He had all game to change the team and make adjustments.
