Ernesto Valverde - V1

Not making subs pissed me off the most, It was obvious from the first 10 minutes that this lineup was a mistake yet he didn't change anything until the 81st minute. What was he thinking, how could he not see how the team was struggling? So frustrating.

He was afraid. He hoped we could survive the storm and we didn't.

Exactly and he did it before with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea should have won it by 3 goals, but they were unlucky and we got lucky with Messi's goal. EV learned nothing because the result masked the obvious faults.

I'm trying to be logical today despite the anger.

If Bayern Munich can sack Carlo fucking Ancelotti after losing to PSG in the group stages of the CL...then how the hell can we not sack this guy after what he did today?

If we don't sack him, we are cowards.

Barto is calculating this. If he fires EV and with no obvious replacement, we might risk losing the league and the cup. It will be two trophyless seasons. Another petition from the likes of Agusti Benedito and Laporta will follow. Only this time, they can succeed.

He will be sacked regardless of a double. We really have lost our identity.

We have been very lucky on occasions this season, with only 4/5 games of real dominance. Some games e.g 3-0 Chelsea and the first leg against Roma looked good on paper but in reality the scoreline flattered us.

This could quite easily of happened at Stamford Bridge had Chelsea taken their chances. We've been uninspiring all season, we invite pressure now and try to keep things tight as possible.

Fact is Valverde never wants to take risks but he's doing it with the wrong team. Teams are frightened when we attack because we have Messi, Iniesta despite his age, they thrive on having the ball around the box.

Barcelona is known for being an attacking team. Soon as we actually started showing some intent, Roma looked vulnerable, if thousands of fans can see it why can't he?!

Every game it's like we approach an away game, going to the top 4 being content with a point. But the problem is, this is Barcelona, 24 league titles, 5 champions leagues not Athletic Bilbao.

I'd rather lose 5-10 games across a season, playing exciting attacking football and losing with fight . Not scraping wins that in reality flatter us and play dreadful football in the process all while being second best to any decent team.

The most fucked up thing is that we find ourselves in a very precarious situation. Even if Valverde resigns or is let go at the end of the season, who the fuck are we going to replace him with? Our best shot might be to get Tuchel before PSG do.

This our manager must be a former Barcelona player shit need to stop. Koeman is not good enough. De Boer is not good enough. We need an outsider like Rijkaard to bring us a fresh face with new ideas. Tuchel is a fresh face with ideas and football based around movement and tactics, and he's a very strong character that doesn't take any bullshit even from his superiors lol.

I think he’ll leave in the summer.

The press in Catalonia will be on his ass especially if we end up with only the league.

He’s done well in La Liga but he’s fucked up big time wit this result tonight.

These type of results are unacceptable at big clubs like Barca.

That's why results should never be prioritized over long term structure and style. You may win a league here and there but over the years the team ends up getting mourinhod. All peachy for a year or two after which comes the fall. And the fall is fucking brutal.

I missed the game, and surely there is no defendant for this show. That said .....
In all honesty, EV structured this team based on what he had early in the season. A team that was just destroyed by RM, won only CDR last season and lost its second player while failing to get priority signings in summer along injuries of Dembele.
It is difficult to change the style in the middle of the year and make a long term structure.
Long term structure is more on board and Sporting director than on coach, whose main job is to get results.

From some of the tweets going about the players wanted him to change it during game and he refused.

If thats the case he is gone.

Barto is calculating this. If he fires EV and with no obvious replacement, we might risk losing the league and the cup. It will be two trophyless seasons. Another petition from the likes of Agusti Benedito and Laporta will follow. Only this time, they can succeed.

Haha get tweeting you might change the world.

We need a manager who won trophies and who coached big teams.

We should stop with that Barca DNA bullshit and hire a world class manager like every top team in the world does.

Sorry but we're not getting a Pep Guardiola or Jurgen Klopp right now. Guys like Allegri can fuck off with their same pussy style of play and defense first formula. It's not going to work here. You need experience and style, not just experience.
