Dembele, Semedo and our other future young players whether from Barca B or bought from other teams have no future with this coach.

This coach has been nothing short of nightmare. Semedo who had an outbreak wasn't even supposed to if it wasn't for Roberto's sending off. This guy really needs to find another team.

He's truly cementing himself as an absolutely garbage coach. 4-4-2 that benefits no one except Rakitic/Suarez, playing Coutinho RW, benching Dembele even though our offense is CLEARLY better every time he plays, not starting Semedo....

The guy forces us to doubt that he can even make the most simple decisions correctly. Things that no other coach would think twice about and we wouldn't have to worry about going wrong. He conjures problems for this team out of thin air.

The team is going Invincibles in spite of him. He's tried to throw up every hurdle and roadblock he could yet somehow we've managed to keep our win streak because of Messi. I have 0 faith that he can fix his ways because for him to have been so blind all year without change proves that he's stubborn and senseless.

Umtiti's confidence has been shot playing under this coach. I think it's clear he needs to go.

Valverde was right not to play dembele against rm, dembele is not a good player and he is not ready for a big game like this. he loses the ball all the time which could have cost us today. people getting angry just because he did not play him is just ridiculous.

He did ok this match overall really. Both teams had bad spells and good spells. Kind of an odd game. Holes in both our midfield and Madrid's acclaimed one.

I think a lot of the harsh criticism he gets has to do with the Roma game. Now if that shit happens again, he's done as a manager not just for Barca, but for any top team. He has to get more in terms of workrate from the team. And he has to get the team right.

Semedo is the RB of this team. Dembele needs many games in a row. Coutinho needs to play in Iniesta's role from now on. A new CM has to be signed and Griezmann is a superb addition in CL.

Yea. Zidane is getting more out of Vasquez than Valverde from Dembele.

one thing I don't get is how EV keeps getting away with it. surely the board are slightly tilted about their record signing (until Coutinho atleast) not playing even when the season is pretty much over. I thought the reason we appointed ex-Barca/dna coaches was to continue the Barca style but not only have we turned to Mourinhoesque football, even Madrid are giving more time to youngsters.

He's to concerned about the Unbeaten streak imo and while that is an admirable thing going unbeaten but the way Valverde has been handling certain players has just been poor.

We already won the league and the Copa, seriously playing someone like Dembele on the right will not cause the apocalypse heck I think he would have done a better job defensively helping Roberto today than Coutinho did.

But also, Valverde is probably the most common type of good manager. Many managers out there that are considered to be good at their job would make some of the calls Valverde makes. Our frustrations are more related to the fact that he is not great in any way. Because let's face it, that's not a bad manager overall.

You guys don't realize how shit and limited this squad is I'm afraid.

Our wingbacks are very limited.

Pique 1 on 1 against any bottom level La Liga no name striker and he turns like a truck. With age he gets more and more inconsistent, too. If he hit the gym instead of WhatsApp bantering with Ramos he wouldn't get outmuscled by Dzeko.

Playing a high line with Busquets and he is too slow to track back, playing deep with Busquets and he is not capable enough for physical battles. Offensively he is too short pass centric with no variations. There can be acres of space behind the opponent's backline on the break but 9 out of 10 times he won't play the ball over the top like Pirlo would but stop the play or make a side pass.

Iniesta is gone and we'll have a problem with Coutinho. Like playing Özil as a CM. Too offensive, too erratic with his ball retention abilities, only great in the final third. Together with Busquets a desaster waiting to happen. Busquets can only dominate with possession-oriented central midfield partners. With Kroos and Modric he would dominate, with Paulinho, Rakitic, Coutinho, Gomes he is wasted.

MAtS, Umtiti, Messi, Suarez are the only good things in this squad. With Busquets it depends who you pair him up with. The rest of the team you could exchange with Chelsea or Tottenham players and it would make no difference, we'd possibly improve.

Yet you bitch about invincible domestic double and expect treble with beautiful football. Hold on for a minute. Take a deep breath. Look at the squad. Then get real.
