Ernesto Valverde - V1

A grand total of zero players will have gotten better under Valverde when he leaves. Terrible manager for a big club just when we needed to build a new team. We brought in a conservative pragmatic manager, when in fact we needed someone to change the tune for this club going forward.

All Valverde did was to bring some consistency at beating the smaller sides at a time when Madrid and Atletico were crap in the league.

You can actually see the value of a manager when he's playing crappier football with an improved squad.

We made signings as if we have a Klopp on the bench, someone that is able to develop them, manage them wisely and make them fulfill their potential. This dude can't even play them in a coherent manner or on the right position. He can't even get that right.

Even the most calm and composed fan out there, even the ones who don't rush to judgment so fast and like to give more chances to somebody. Even those should concede that, for a club like Barcelona, Valverde is probably as dull and as uninspiring as it gets.

Last season had a rough start with all the Neymar drama, then Dembele was injured etc and he did a good job stabilizing us. From there it just went downhill because there was just zero improvement. Now one could say middle of a season, it worked for most games, Dembele injured, Cou was new etc and we still won titles but for this season are just aren't any excuses. This far he looked absolutely clueless in everything. He won't change. It looks like shit in every game, as soon as we are 1-0 up he subs and turtles up like a little bitch and he surprisingly ignores some young players for no reason again.

I can't wait for the day he is gone but tbh i'm also scared it will be another manager like him because we don't have much time of Messi left and i hope so much that he will play in a real team with real tactics one last time before he quits.

Which is a big disapointment from his Bilbao days. Sure he didn't have much to work with due to the Basque policy, but he still did develop a number of players while there.

I said it before but right now unless there's some dire circumstances that we lose like half the team to some long term injuries there's no reason for us to spend a dime nor give him an extension unless he actually proves he can develop what he has effectively.

No I'm not talking about candyass art in yanking a player at HT or leaving them out of the squad despite getting 15 mins of game time the last game . I want to see real effort into developing our younger players and putting an arm around them on the training ground and actually telling them what they need to improve.

Because what he's doing right now is not good enough not at all.

Does local media even roast Valverde for any of this shit or it's just pleasantries and platitudes?

That is why I consider Valverde a lucky guy. Tata got roasted for a 4-0 win just because we had less possession then the other team. Despite having a much better squad Valverde produces shit on a stick football and gets an easy ride from the media.

After our game against Spurs I expect us to be in crisis mode. Let's see the media reaction then.

Don't worry guys. I am pretty sure that come November he will be sacked or maybe later in December. We have a brutal October and even his beloved 442 won't save him.

Umtiti is injured, confidence is low in the team. You can see it. Valverde's luck is running out!

Valverde does not have a better squad

Tata had 26 year old Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, better Busquets, Neygoat, Sanchez, Fabregas, etc.

He had Xavi who was clearly past it by then (In the very next season he took a rotational role), Neymar who was in his first season in Europe and still adapting, Sanchez who was only good every now and then, and Fabregas who genuinely sucked. Not to mention Messi spent half the season injured, with Valdes actually ending his career here with an injury that forced us to use a 47 year old Pinto instead.

Valverde's squad is almost infinitely better than the one Tata had. Under Tata we had to use Fabregas as our main striker :lol:

Tata's team vs Valverde's team

Valdes < MATS

Alves > Roberto
Pique 2013 > Pique now
Mascherano = Umtiti
Alba 2013 < Alba now

Xavi = Rakitic
Busquets 2013 > Busquets now
Iniesta > Coutinho

Messi = Messi
Sanchez > Suarez now
Neyney > Dembele

Except this isn't how the season played out at all. You can't talk about a manager's squad and only count the gala XI that we rarely if ever got to actually use.

We spent most of the season with Messi injured, the second half of the season we lost three competitions not with Valdes, but with Pinto in goal, our CB lineup was so butchered with injuries without any solid backups that we were forced to watch either Adriano at CB or play a usually ignored Bartra, Sanchez and Neymar weren't producing the goods in front of goal most of the time (Neither was Pedro, who was the one actually starting, not Sanchez) and we had to rely on Messi most of the time (Who once again, was injured for huge chunks of the season), and Cesc wasn't any more effective than Gomes or Paco most of the time as well.

Valverde has a solid player and backups for every position but LB and possibly striker if you refuse to move Messi to the center. Tata had a bench that was almost entirely Barca B rejects and failed transfers. If Tata had the options Valverde has I can almost guarantee you he wouldn't be losing to fucking Girona and Leganes of all teams.
