Ernesto Valverde - V1

Good game by him.

But he has got to do better during the 45-65 Minutes of the match. Felt like we let it nearly slip away with Real controlling things and changing the system.

he hasn't exactly silenced anyone.. if Madrid score during that spell and make it 2-2 its a totally different game and its the usual shit. he made the correct subs though and alot earlier so he deserves alot of credit. i hope we see more of this EV than the pussy we've seen most of his time here.

your saying what ifs
yeah valverde didn't fully control the whole 90 minutes he lost control the first 20 minutes of the second half but he corrected it
idk what bullshit complaint that even is lmao

btw the only time we ever really controlled real madrid in the full 90 minutes from my memory was 2010's manita.

Better from him for this game, but he should be showing the same from the start of the season, not wait till now, especially when we have a squad of this magnitude this season. Subs should still have been quicker too.

In any case, there are still more games long into the season, so he must continue the same if not things will start to falter again.

If Iniesta hadn't scored in the 93rd minute against Chelsea or if refs awarded some pens to Chelsea back then, Pep would maybe never won a CL and we would never had that golden generation.

You always need a touch of luck, on top of your footballing skills.

Yeah, Madrid could have scored for 2:2, true.
Btw, who lost the ball in that action at the edge of our box, Arthur, Busi or Rakitic in a possible 2:2 action?
I didn't see a right replay later.

He deserves credit tonight for the win. What i like most is the adjustments he made after Lopetegui switched to a back 3 and they started putting us on the ropes. He could have responded quicker but good reading of the game situation there. All the subs made sense. Dembele gave us the outlet on the counter to use his speed, Semedo and Vidal brought energy that we badly needed, at one point i was wondering if it would be 2-2 but we responded well. Coins for Ernie.

fair point and yeah you need a degree of luck in any match. for me the most infuriating thing about EV is him just squating there 'thinking'. i know hes not the type of guy to jump around screaming but someone needs to get the players focus back and having the current Pique at CB isn't really the most ensuring feeling trying to weather the storm

I think it was Arthur
