Ernesto Valverde - V1

I just hope he doesn't lose the balance we've found this month.

The changes in the last few weeks have been great:

1) Midfield looks very solid with the integration of Arthur and Vidal has been great coming off the bench. Busi and Rakitic have also greatly improved under this new midfield system.
2) We are playing less defensive and playing more fluid attacking football
3) Defense is still a work in progress, but looks much better than what it was a month ago and Lenglet looks an excellent buy. It should get better with Sam and Verm returning.

Despite the overall results not being good as they were at this time last year, there is a case to be optimistic about the way this team is evolving and developing.

Again, if EV decides to revert back to his old ways, I think a lot of good momentum could be killed. But the changes in tactics and mentality of the team over the last few weeks are giving me a good sense of optimism.

What's his career managerial record against RM in general? Anyone got that stat?

Never mind, got it. 7-3-15. Not that great but I don't know how many mid-table managers have 5 wins registered to their name against RM anyway.

It's quite hard to have a good record against RM if you managed Bilbao for your whole career

He's tried playing with 2 wingers earlier this season but didn't work out and I guess he'll stick to 4-5 CMs and two strikers upfront from now on, just like previous season. Will it work out against tougher teams in CL ? I don't know we'll see. Last season the other two midfielders were Gomes and Paulinho this time Arthur and Coutinho, overall it seems he can't get the best out of wingers in his tactics and would prefer more midfielders in his setup.

Barcilliant predicted that we will lose against Sevilla, Inter and Real Madrid so that we can sack Retardo. Where is he now?

Yes, I did. I was wrong. Doesn't change my opinion of Valverde.

He is simply not good enough for Barca. Let's see what happens in the cl. Domestically we've dominated but in the CL it's been all Rm.

If he is not good enough for Barca who do you suggest we get instead? 5-1 is a pretty good result for me tbh and the whole team is determined to win UCL

He's played the first 11 a lot so far this year, clearly he has been prioritizing getting the first-choice unit up to the highest level. Now it is time to enlarge the group of players who can be on the field at any time playing up to top Barca standards. Semedo, already there. Lenglet, yes. Rafihna, doing well. Just give some more chances to Vidal and Dembele, get their confidence and game fitness up, that will be a big enough group. As long as Alba can play every minute.

I saw some of the people on here being moles on the Madrid forum pretending to be Barcelona fans while supporting Madrid.

They said on here we wanted EV manager sacked and are an ungrateful bunch and easy to wind up.

Some are obvious because they didn't bother to change the username properly some not so obvious.

Who are the rats? Are you one of them Cule4life
