Ernesto Valverde - V1

People here are getting carried away. The last time we had a big win against Real Madrid 4-0 at the Beau we almost lost liga and Real Madrid did a three peat in cl.

Success can be a double edged sword. I expect Real to run us close with Conte in charge. He will sort out the defense and grind out wins.

Valverde is still overpaying our first 11. You would think Rakitic, Busquets, Suarez and Pique would get some rest but Valverde plays them game in game out. He is scared to play 433 against the smaller teams too.

The same way we would have lost the games against Inter, Sevilla and Madrid without Messi?

You shut your damn mouth Barcillant saying he is scared to play 4-3-3 against smaller teams he started out playing 4-3-÷ and Dembele wasnt performing so he was dropped that simple.

Would you rather he plays players out of form or some crisp like that?

I saw some of the people on here being moles on the Madrid forum pretending to be Barcelona fans while supporting Madrid.

They said on here we wanted EV manager sacked and are an ungrateful bunch and easy to wind up.

Some are obvious because they didn't bother to change the username properly some not so obvious.

Who are the rats? Are you one of them Cule4life

A forum nobody calling veteran posters Madrid fans. The balls on this troll

Hey Ousmane everybody knows its you. Go jump in a spartan pit and spare the forum from your BS.

😂 😌

Please. Valverde will be judged on the CL this season.

I won't shut my mouth!!! 😃

All he did was revert back to 442 or 451 with Arthur playing instead of Dembele. We'll see what happens come May. IMO we have an excellent squad with depth everywhere except left back. Despite that we only have a one point lead over Alaves.

We also have an aging squad who he never rotates and his development of young players is pathetic.

In short Valverde has many obvious flaws and one great result doesn't change that fact.

God forbid some of these entitled Barcelona fans were United supporters. We've had it good some of you probably weren't even born for the LVG V2 era.

Dont want to take anything away from him yesterday , bu that was seriously one of the worst Real's I have seen in the last 10+ years against Barca. The way Lopetegui set that Real up was pathetic. He setup Real with a Very defensive high line without pressuring Barca upfront, which made it very easy for Barca to exploit

It works both ways.
Real during Pep was also an utter shit.

But no one is mentioning that when we look back at that glory days.
It is all about us, and not about weak opponents.
Pep won 2 Cls without having to play against any physical thug team, got helped by refs against Chelsea, got a lucky goal by Iniesta in the 93rd minute from the only shot on target, played against Man utd with 40 years old Giggs as a Cm in 442.

Talking about luck and crappy opponents...

In each season, you need some crappy opponents, a luck in a draw, lucky goals and similar.

But revisionism always kicks in and paints the world only in black and white colors.

They were nowhere near as pathetic as Lopetegui's side. And as Xaviniesta said , that crap Real won la liga with 100 points. And I seriously don't know what's up with you and some other members obsession with bringing up Pep and then going on a complete tangent.

The fucking irony....

lmao they won the league with a record breaking 100 pts

La Liga 2009:
Real 78 points, 10 defeats.
Barca goal ratio: 105:35
Real goal ratio: 83:52, lol

2009: Real lost in 1/8 of a CL to Liverpool with 0:1 and 0:4.
So, Real conceded 52 goals in La liga, and their goal ratio in a CL was 9:10 in total, hahaha.

In 2010: Real got knocked out again in a CL's 1/8 by Lyon with 2:1 aggregate.
In 2009: Real got knocked out again in a CL's 1/8 by Liverpool with 5:0 aggregate.
In 2008: Real got knocked out again in a CL's 1/8 by Roma with 4:2 aggregate.
in 2007: Real got knocked out again in a CL's 1/8 by Bayern with 4:4 aggregate.
In 2006: Real got knocked out AGAIN in a CL's 1/8 by Arsenal with 1:0 aggregate.
In 2005: Real got knocked out AGAIN in a CL's 1/8 by Juventus with 2:1 on aggregate.

So, for 4 years in a row BEFORE Pep, mighty Real from back then was getting knocked out in 1/8 of a CL every single year, by anyone.
And then, in the first 2 Pep's years, Real is again kncoked out in 1/8 of a CL.
So, Pep had to fight against a team who was a total mess and a circus, compared to a current era.

Today, EV has to fight against a team who won 4 CLs in a 5 years.

So, no, please, TELL ME MORE how Pep's manitas are better and have more weight against that mickey mouse level compared to a Real who has broke all records in a CL in the last 5 years.

Reading some posts here, I often get an impression that a mighty Pep had to play against 11 robots, and a poor, crappy EV is winning against horrible teams who play with 80 year old grannies in their team and playing barefoot.

In short:
Real Madrid and EVERY SINGLE opponent against whom we played back then in the days of mighty Pep:

Real Madrid and every single opponent against whom we win today under EV:

While this was absolutely not the point I made and you suddenly brought Pep into this ,which you love to do , Ill respond to this pure nitpicking of data and twisting the narrative. Let me switch my brain and logical thinking off and go full BBZ:
Barcelona's stats before Pep started coaching them (I'll use the last 5 years becuase Im cosplay BBZ and I like to conveniently cherrypick my stats:

in 2007: Barca got knocked out in the Semi final against Man Utd
In 2006: Barca Won the CL
In 2005: Barca got knocked out Round of 16 against Chelsea
In 2004: Barca was in the UEFA cup
In 2003: Barca got knocked out in the QF against Juve

So before Pep took over Barca they were clearly struggling in the CL and couldn't even make it in the CL at times and they weren't that dominating in La liga.

So, for 4 years in a row BEFORE Pep, mighty Real from back then was getting knocked out in 1/8 of a CL every single year, by anyone.
And then, in the first 2 Pep's years, Real is again kncoked out in 1/8 of a CL.

Pep spanked a Real that was starting to get into the semi final under Mourinho aswell and then proceeded to spank Real again when they got into their first semi-final. After that year they never missed a semi-final.

Today, EV has to fight against a team who won 4 CLs in a 5 years.
Today, EV has a Barcelona that won 7 la liga's in the last 11 years and 3 Cl's in the last 10 years ( again just conveniently picking my data because Im cosplay BBZ)

Hopefully one day you will practice what you preach

lmao they won the league with a record breaking 100 pts, not to mention they were only 4 and 3 points behind us in the 2 seasons before that

But where has the argument that La Liga overall has gotten stronger in recent years gone all of a sudden?
