cant believe anyone could blame Dembele for Roma

EV is paid to make decisions not squat on the sideline shitting his pants. it really pisses me off watching him stroke his chin as he crouches on the touch line doing fuck all probably day dreaming about his hubby Rakitic. i cant be the only cule who screamed at the TV during the Rome humiliation. he lost me that night.. in a match that is the WORST managing i have ever seen in my 25 years on this earth and when he brought Gomes on i almost pissed myself laughing

-not playing naive in CL away and getting thrashed everytime (roma was dembele fault for missing empty net)....
-not going all out attack with one goal lead, leaving gaps and dropping points.....
-using warriors like paulinho/vidal to give balance instead of playing two CAMs in midfield like pep.......
-adapting to each opponent......
-etc etc......

- Roma was Valverde's fault for going in with the wrong mindset, getting his tactics wrong, failing to make any changes during the match.
- Valverde goes all out defence and still gets thrashed 3-0 by Roma of all teams.
- Except they were nowhere to be seen in the CL.
- He doesn't adapt at all. Until recently, he played the same lineup with the same predetermined substitutions regardless of how the match is going.

To be fair there are two things that scare me much more than Valverde these days:
1) What will happen if Alba gets injured
2) Pique

Fair play to Valverde. I am sensing an improvement in his squad rotations and substitutions. Not sure if this is a temporary thing but it would be great if he has learned from his mistakes last season. Such as more rotations in the league at home against on paper "easy" opponents (yet to be seen), many more rotations in the CdR (accomplished that goal).

Of course his future will depend on how the team will perform in the CL. If Lyon kicks us out, he will be a dead man walking. Or if we go out in the quarter-finals once again. However Bartomeu's public support likely gave him a much needed boost. I never was and never will be his greatest fan but at the same time he is not as bad as many of us, me included, complain about at times when frustrated. Of course that realization alone should not be a deciding factor of him staying or not but sometimes we forget to praise him when needed. For instance the gamble of resting most of the team in the first leg, rather than the return leg, paid off.

Curious to see how he will approach the next month which will take a toll on the team given the on paper rather difficult schedule and high concentration of games.
