Valverde made some mistakes in this game but that was as sloppy from the players as I’ve seen this year. Valverde has some blame as he made bad subs

I really dread thinking about the match against Liverpool. They have everything United lacked tonight and we weren't even able to keep the ball that well against this lot. Imagine the pressing the slowpokes in our midfield will be subjected to and how many balls around the penalty area will Mane, Salah and Firminho benefit from when our players can't pass around them.

Properly parked the bus after 1-0. A better attacking team would've scored us a couple tonight. We have no plan whatsoever to attack when Messi is blocked, subs were very defensive, and the team is tired due to overplaying. United clearly the more fresh team, everyone could see it.
