Ernesto Valverde - V1

Messi and him are on the same side, you know. It is not a competition between them?

Btw we were closer at 4-0 than they were at 3-1 anyway, so they should feel just as "lucky" as we should, imo.

That clean sheet is gold going into the second leg, I'm really believing that we go to the final now!

Yea they only had open goals and hit the post. We have better finishers but 9/10 times Liverpool scores on all those chances they had.

He is NOT lucky. That how we played against Madrid this season and the last one.

This season Madrid attacked us more than we did and yet they only scored 1 goal while we scored 10 goals.

We won 3 games and drew one. Give him credit.

Lol Salah had an absolute sitter to score after our third.

And the Messi-chance before Dembeles sub and both Dembeles first and second chance would also normally be a goal for us, maybe even 2. But they missed that gigantic opportunity, I'm not trying to downplay that - I'm just saying they were lucky too in the end.

And Liverpool should have scored even more than us. MATS and the post saved us.

Seriously, you need to fuck off!

Their only clear chances were Milner's shot straight at Mats and that action at 3:0 where Raki cleared the ball from the goal line and Salah hit the post later.

Dembele alone in 120 seconds ruined and had more sitters than Liverpool over 90 minutes.

** Btw, I have said earlier today, Rijkaard played quite similar in 2006.
Cautious with 3 magicians upfront and that's it.
You won't concede, and yet you'll always score.

On the other hand, mighty Pep plays all out attack, scored less than us and concedes 5-6 goals against any team.

Vidal won 2 Copa Americas.
Raki just led his NT team to a WC final.
Busi, won all titles.
Experience, defending, and some magic upfront.

Also, we finally didn't have extremely short team and we didn't concede from corners, like we always do.
Raki has aerial strength. Vidal, Pique, Lenglet, Suarez. Roberto and Semedo can jump also.

True.

Also, fans around the world will agree that five best and the most influential players ever who wore a number 7 on their back were:

The substitution to bring on semedo for coutinho was good. Brought us back into the game

Messi made it look better than it was, but that substitution was key.

I would have brought on dembele earlier but 3-0 can't complain.

Villarato!
Imagine a fanbase who feel like shit when they win games by giving up half-chances that lure the opponent into a false sense of security and make them feel dominant to subsequently inflict the largest mental damage possible by scoring goals like those tonight.

Valverde is something else for helping create this reality.

We're actually doing very fine. We're not breaking the TV because we won 3-0 while defending so don't worry.

I’m going to wait until the second leg until I praise Valverde more. He’s easily capable of going to anfield setting the team up to get absolutely hammered
