What are you talking about? We are on paper the best team in Europe this season and we flopped so hard!
Domestically our rivals are in a mess and we have Messi carrying us the whole season even though on paper we are better than Real and ATM. You yourself said it in the Messi's thread.
Tata failed to a team who was much better than us (ATM) on the last day of the league (we drew with ATM). Our team is not as great as you made so, Tata inherited a team that was thrashed by Bayern (7-0), a declined Xavi and injured Messi (was sidelined for quite some time), Neymar first season adjusting, Puyol who played few games the whole season, Song? Alexis Sanchez? Cesc? Dani Alves having an awful season were he became crossing merchant specialist. It's easy to forget how bad were those players for us. Then we lose our main goalkeeper in crucial months to replace him with Pinto for fuck sake.
Tata's football was much better than Valverde and actually influenced Lucho to implement a similar direct philosophy but with better players at his disposal (Neymar, Suarez, Rakitic).
Eventually, Tata was decent enough to step down. He would have won trophies given that we renewed the squad the following season.
Puyol wasn’t even a starter, mascherano was starter. Song wasn’t a starter and Cesc was a decent player, and part of the rotation.

those crosses were horrific
as much as I want a new manager, valverde is at least capable domestically. Tata is capable of nothing, it’s a step backwards not forwards. Tata would be throwing barbecues as the team wins absolutely nothing.

So is Tata Martino when Madrid and Atletico are crap. Barca had very weak rivals in the last 2 years on the domestic front because the only comparable team in terms of player quality was a hot mess.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that barcas team is overrated.
Wolves player from any position are able to dribble and create their own chances.
Here all we can do with our average players is pass the ball to Messi.
Time to realize that neither Klopp nor Guardiola would be able to do much with the team we have.
We won la liga b.c every team in it is c.ra.p.
We got lucky by facing Lyon and Manchester United before the semifinals.
The problem is not valverde, although we obviously need a new coach. The problem is playing 30 year olds who haven't won anything important in the last 4 years.

Of course we are overrated. It is pretty much a middle table team plus Messi. When Messi doesn't deliver we are completely crap.
