Since the introduction of Arthur and we are playing so much better. Smart, technical passer/controller type player>>> Physical workhorses players. This was the missing piece of the puzzle in Barca midfield since Xavi's departure and took 4 seasons to realize it. Arthur gave EV the solution beside Messi.

I agree that with Arthur our midfield is better, MUCH better, he has taken our midfield to another dimension.
But for me the equally important factor is the fact that we are now playing with 3 authentic midfielders: a 4-3-3, or 4-4-2 (Coutinho as added midfielder). With this lineup we are much, far more balanced than playing without an extra midfielder, but in addition Dembele or Malcom.
IMO paying with Suarez-Messi-Coutinho-Dembele together is not possible, it is "sexy", but not successful.

Yeah, really hope he doesn't. The rest of the season still heavily depends on how he plays the squad this season. Really should be aiming for the CL this season. No excuses anymore.

He did. Better late than never I guess, but Madrid could've done more damage in that period where our manager hesitated. He should've put in fast counter attacking players like Dembele and Semedo sooner imo. As soon as they came in the spaces in Madrid's defense were claimed much faster.

Can't, because I have seen what his indecision and hesitation can produce. So when he does it again we all know what's the risk. Not necessarily for today, because it's early in the season, but in those difficult march-april months. Sadly, the team is almost always in a state of being very close to what the word 'bottler' means in football.

lol now you have attributed the problem to being Barca missing a player. I thought it was Valverde all the time.

You are simplifying it.
If Barcaforum were a coach, you would probably play Coutinho-Arthur-Busi, Dembele-Messi-Suarez (or some crazy Malcom-Messi-Dembele) lineup, with Semedo as a RB.

So, there are more factors than just Arthur:
1. Rakitic
2. 3 true Cms, and not Couitnho
3. 4 or 5 midfielders in midfield-attacking line
4. no Dembele
5. Roberto
6. oh, and some players actually improved lately under EV

ONCE AGAIN: it is NOT only: Arthur in= Valverde's ass saved.
He made a few changes in the last 5 matches.
