The waves of attacks were not just because it was a strong team - But, also because the manager made a change. It was the same team that were completely dominated in the first half! Their manager increases the numbers in mid field, getting more numbers in the mid field thereby bypassing our mid field and facilitate those waves of attack.
A more proactive manager would not have waited so long to exploit the holes that they were leaving behind and responded much earlier to push them back!!
I hope he learns a thing or 2 from the manager 101 - Pay closer attention to what the opponents are doing, what changes they are making and react sooner rather than later!!
Ok.
Imagine if you were a manager yesterday, and Real was outnumbering us in the 2nd half.
What tactical changes and subs would you make?
If your first tactical decision would have been: I would put Dembele in instead of Rafinha to "scare them" with his pace and counters!
= I will go out and cry for 2 hours because of your reply.
Please, don't make me cry.
Offer some other tactical decision or a sub.
Fc Dembele is not a solution for every single tactical problem in the world.
