I still call bullshit on these rumours. This just doesn't make any sense no matter how you look at it.

agreed. imagine surviving Rome, Anfield, Copa final and other humiliations only to be sacked for losing vs Atleti (VAR) in a tin pot trophy played in Saudi Arabia

Finally some reactions to this shit. I guess the board are panicking that there is a realistic posibility of us ending up trophy-less this season, which has never happened in the last 12 years. Even under Tata we've won a Supercup at least.

The reason they are panicking is that our horrible away form is going on and on in both La Liga and CL, the main objectives of the team.

Bilbao away - crap game
Osasuna away - crap game
Dortmund away - crap game
Granada away - crap game
Gefate away - good game
Eibar away - good game
Slavia away - crap game
Leganes away - crap game
Atletico away - ok game
Inter away - ok game
Sociedad away - crap game
Espanyol away - crap game

So, Ernie at Barca this season in away games in terms of quality of the performances? 12 games - 8 crap performances, 2 ok performances, 2 good performances

Even if not from a footballing standpoint, it must be bothering them financially. I think I read on Twitter we’d have got 11m for winning Supercopa. How ironic would that be, a fabricated version of Supercup in the Middle East could be the thing that gets him sacked

El Gato

Villarato!

Let's see

Stegen 27 vs Curtois 27
Roberto 27 vs Carvajal 28
Pique 32 vs Ramos 33
Lenglet 24 vs Varane 26
Alba 30 vs Marcelo 31

Busquets 31 vs Casemiro 27
De Jong 22 vs Valverde 21
Arthur 23 vs Kroos 30

Griezmann 28 vs Isco 27
Messi 32 vs Benzema 32
Suarez 32 vs Bale 30

Barca first 11 average age: 28 years
Real Madrid first 11 average age: 28,3 years.

Wolfe talking out of his arse again. Our first 11 is slightly younger than your first 11. Now of course you'll praise your signings to high heavens (like Ceballos being this ultra talent, or Vinicius being the next Neymar lol - when he's a Robinho-lite who can't shoot to save his life, or Jovic being so great he will replace Benzema, or Asensio being the next Messi or whatever, all rubbish), and will say our signings like Semedo, or Firpo, or the new kid Ansu Fati, or Dembele are crap. So boringly predictable.

Meanwhile that pseudophilosophy gave birth to possibly the greatest team ever, and one that dominated every team they faced. Which has never happened until then or since then, in the 25 years I've been watching football.

So confused why this triggered you. At least 6 of your starting 11 played with a man who is now 39 and they did so for at least 3 seasons each. They're old, doesn't mean the rest are. Get over it. It has nothing to do with Real's age.

BTW
Bale is not a starter. Nor is Marcelo.

Correct about Bale, Hazard instead of him. Marcelo is a starter over Mendy when fit.

You apply double standards to similar situations in the Barca - Madrid cases. The only major thing that his vastly different is you have a manager who is of a different level than Valverde. Other than that, both squads are a mix of old superstars and young & very young talents who need developing.

it's actually very fitting. Businessmen firing a yes-man for not delivering the profit. Let's wait for a bit and not get our hopes up though.
