Let's hope we can get Pochettino.I doubt we can get a coach of Ten Hag's stature in the summer anyway.

So,i would get Pochettino over Koemann, inexperienced Xavi or puppets like Pimienta or Setien.

Anyone will be an improvement over Retardo though...Hopefully we can still win La Liga over this weakened Real.

Poch is the best out of the available options but I'm sure it will be either Pimienta or Setien.

Lots of buzz around Pochettino right now. Would be an incredible get considering our circumstances. Otherwise the only other name being thrown out there right now is Setien. Pimienta is if all else fails.

More than fine options. Pochettino is the best manager we can get, if we leave Barca DNA aside. Setien would be a good option as well, more in line with our style, but I don't think he is charismatic and warrior enough to wrestle with this locker room full of veteran stars. He'll probably be starstruck just by managing Messi.

This is close to as official as you can get without it being directly from the club.

Very very disappointed with how we are handling this situation. Valverde does not deserve to be treated this badly.

What about the fans?
What about the fans for a second? We've been a laughing stock all over the Europe since the Anfield collapse.
"It is what it is", "I feel good, but when you win, you are happier" - this is a pub side mentality!
He deserves it all, and even more! He should've been a bigger man, and resigned, when the humiliations occured.
So yes - he deserves to be treated EXACTLY like that!

Look at Arteta's Arsenal now. Yes, they haven't won all the games, BUT there's an optimism around the club & the fans aren't fighting with each other anymore.

Pochettino being so reactive worries me.

Same. But I've also seen his teams attack just fine, it's just the moment they have the smallest advantage, they sit deep and counter. This approach is not very good for us. There are some clear pluses, but some clear minuses with him.

But he is no doubt in a different league to Valverde. It's just that style wise I don't see enough differentiation from Valverde's system to fully embrace him as our next manager.

I'm curious to see what team Ernie signs with next. Given how so many people in the press have lauded him as a top manager I expect one of the big dogs in Italy, England or Germany to hire him.

City, Liverpool, Bayern, PSG, Juve even Madrid are all preparing their offers as we speak. It’ll be a fight to the death for Valverde... after all, he is the top ranked manager of last year:

This ranking system should be a lesson to all the guys who live and die by stats

He also gets a payoff so let's not pretend he is a fucking victim. Fuck him

Pochettino won't take it. If not on the basis of his Espanyol affiliations then at the basis of this situation being an institutional trainwreck. It's a toxic combination. He's too nice a guy to get into bed with these pricks.

You can actually feel it when a club is healthy. And we haven't been for way too long. That is the first thing we should take into account.

Odd, wouldn't take him for a coward who backs away from a challenge. Right now, Barca is a challenge, sure, but also a huge club with a lot of weapons a top manager can use.

Even Gary Neville would probably be number 1 with Messi
