EV is way underappericated and underrated during his Barca days.

People talked about his boring football and similiar but he actually tried to fit best thing to his squad, rather than turned them into something they can't be. Messi was his protagonist and he brought the best out of Messi (scoring, playmaking). There is nothing wrong with building your team around your best (or the best player of all time).

Apart from that, it's a steady minutes/goals and minutes/assists ratio with every manager.

To be fair, there is nothing wrong with your protagonist save your ass. Messi was the protagonist under EV. And even in 2018/19 Laliga + UCL, he only lost just one game without Leo, that is vs Celta when Barca already won Laliga. Without Leo, 5-1 win vs Real and 3-2 win over Rayo. In UCL, 2-0 win over Inter and 1-1 draw vs Inter. Lost to both Levante and Sevilla without Leo in Copa though.

I respect Valverde a lot, but statements like he was fantastic at his job and meanwhile the disrespect Koeman and Xavi get for dealing with inferior squad compared to EV is not fair. Let's be realistic. And to those two who attempt to troll me in this thread - good luck with keeping this thread alive, outcasts.

I don't think it is comparision between EV and Koeman or Xavi. It's about how underrated EV is during his time. There are people saying Laliga is just a friendly tittle and thinking Barca will fly high once he leave. And here is the reality when top 4 is a massive success.
