Everyone is average when playing for NT. I don't remember Modric mastering any game for our NT.

Belgium 3:1 Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Vermaelen did not have a lot of highlights, however in the few glimpses he had I thought he was quite solid (especially toward the end of the game that he made a nice tackle to shield the ball/Courtois), but a bit exhausted perhaps due to still not in top physical form.

Holland in a bit of trouble! They can't take any points off Iceland now and have to hope that Czech Republic will lose 2 out of their 3 last games. lol

How did the Madrid and Barca-boys play?

Croatia's tactics is more or less:
= players, go out and try to score some goals.
= we won't have any logical tactics. You should just try to randomly invent something on the field.
And then you get a bunch of individual actions and some random team actions.

Mandzukic was horrible. Like Douglas-level of horrible.
Modric and Rakitic average.
Modric was substituted after 70 Minutes.
Kovacic played last 20-30 minutes.
At first he was lost and horrible like everyone. He missed one perfect chance from inside of a box, his placed shot was wide.
In the end he made 2 good solo actions, after one of those, Mandzukic was alone infront of a keeper, but Mandzo's "amazing" scoring form from 2015' continued (he shot like a 80 year old granny again)

Halilovic didn't play, but Pjaca, a 19 year old Cf-winger from Dinamo Zagreb did play.
The same story every year: when a player needs some hype and when Dinamo needs to sell him, he plays in all matches.
Better players like Kalinic or Kovacic were benched, but Pjaca played 90 Minutes, lol.

The same happened with Brozovic, Badelj, Sammir and Halilovic, when they needed to be sold, they jumped right into the starting 11 of NT team. Lol.

Anyway, Pjaca is more like a winger than a forward, and Kovac played 442 with 2 Cfs Mandzo and Pjaca.
And Mandzo often moves too far away from the box (and often goes on a wing in NT team), and Pjaca was playing like a Amc, Aml or Ml in some moments. So, we played with 460 too often, lol. Without real forwards.

Anyway, extremely horrible formation, horrible ideas from the coach, and a horrible game plan.
You really have to be an idiot, to have Modric, Rakitic and Kovacic in your team, and not to be able to create an action with more than 3-4 accurate passes in a row.

Some of the Croatian players looked like they were in a testimonial game, especially Mandzukic. It was pretty woeful.

Good result for Wales, they are all but through to the finals.

Holland look like they will be in playoffs now.

Top 2 go to Euro?

The scenes if Norway qualify directly and Croatia have to go through play-off.

Something must be very wrong in their NT setup if that happens

Fucking hell man, we even managed to lose against Iceland at home now.....crazy result. Robben gets injured, Martins Indi got himself sent off, which was ridiculous, and to top it all off Van der Wiel gives away a penalty in a situation that was not even dangerous.....with such retards at the back we'll never win.....still, if we don't lose against Turkey, we look set for the play-offs.

I'm sorry, but that is ridiculous - Iceland has a population of 329,000 and maybe not the best football tradition  Lars Lagerbäck is really working wonders, I can't understand how almost everybody wanted him out of the coaching job for the Swedish NT after he took us to Euro 2000, 2002 World Cup, Euro 2004, 2006 World Cup and Euro 2008. Swedish NT is decent at best, you have to put things into perspective - but people argued he played boring anti-football lol. He had Zlatan and than 10 players on Blackburn, Watford, Sunderland level - yeah, lets play creative attacking football against Brazil and Germany.

What Iceland is doing in this Euro Qualifiers is truly admirable. I don't know any of their players except Eidur Gudjohnsen, but hats off to them. They deserve utmost respect.

Back to Holland, from what I'm reading Robben and Blind directly blamed Indi and his ridiculous red card for the defeat, and rightly so.
