I mean if you had a choice of potential opponent at a tournament, would you rather Turkey or Netherlands? I reckon both the Czech Republic and Iceland would prefer for The Netherlands to miss out, and will probably make sure they do...

turkey would be worse actually, they can always spring a surprise. Netherlands on the other hand are a mess, mentally and tactically, even if they have better players.

None taken. Considering where they are playing and the salary they get it's objective to have much higher expectations. Modric is pure disappointment...and Rakitic is not far away from that either.

That is not offensive.

I don't know what other Croatian supporters think, but for me, watching NT matches is always so painful.
Every match, every year people have very high expectations from our players, but more or less, since 1998 till today, we had only 2 good years under Bilic, from 2006-2008.

Everything else was more or less a disaster like any of our current matches.

A lot of fans say how Modric is always awesome, while other part of fans say that he is invisible in 9 out 10 NT matches for Croatia.
I share the same opinion.
Modric turns his invisible mode too often (imo, especially during Euro 2012 and World cup 2014), especially when we need him the most.
Rakitic is more consistent.
At least in the past, when he was younger, he had awesome matches for NT team.

I personally have no idea why I am still watching NT matches, when they are in 90% of cases just a huge disappointment and losing of nerves.

No reason to blame the players. Niko Kovac is a joke. He literally said yesterday that "you do not need tactics when you have heart", which is one of the most ridiculous things I ever heard a professional footballer (let alone coach) say. He talked about how he always played with heart and such crap.
You have a really good squad and every tool to upset all big nations in Europe but not without a proper coach.

Modric responded and said that that might be the opinion of the coach but all the players give everything they have and try to do their best. What is missing is a proper strategy and that is why the team "has no game" at the moment. He is totally right.

Denmark are blowing their great position for the playoffs completely. First a scoreless draw at home against Albania and now a repeat of the 'feat' away to Armenia. Portugal and Serbia were our only real dangers initially, but considering how the Serbs have flunked completely, we should be walking the second place. But no, we're losing out because of damn Albania. Absolutely pathetic. Without Eriksen we have zero creativity and produce about as many chances.

Us Swedes are not doing any better  A loss tomorrow and we might not even make the play-offs :lucho:

With Norway's chances looking very good, it's a shame we can't join them. We need more Scandinavian teams to the finals. We're probably just not better than this, though.
