EURO 2016 Qualifying

Ah, I get it now.

Tbf then that might be even more problematic and take even longer and there's no way they'll ever reach a consensus on this. I think the current format is okay. There's this many countries in Europe so gotta have all of them in the qualfiers and make it as fair as possible.

There's too many pointless games though, I definitely think the minnows should have to pre qualify.Might actually help them in the long run, at least they wouldn't be getting thrashed every game ?

EDIT; they could have a little league of 6/8 teams n say the top 2 go through to the qualifiers proper ?

Also, why is fucking Israel n Azerbaijan in the Euros ? :shakeshead:

Also, Netherlands are in the shit now, Turkey just need a point at home v Iceland to knock them out.

Also congrats to Wales !

ZzzzZzz Euro qualifying. They need to reduce the amount of minnows not add more (Gibraltar LOL). They should do a separate qualification round and have only a couple of (Malta, Luxembourg, Lichtenstein, Gibraltar, Andorra, Azerbijan etc etc).

Sure if they done that a few years ago the likes of wales ni etc could have missed out an look were they are now

I'm still sick of us failing this badly. Getting only 1 point in 5 games against Turkey, Iceland and the Czech Republic is disgraceful. I'm confident, however, that we'll be in a better shape to try and qualify for the 2018 World Cup. I can't see Turkey losing at home against the already qualified Iceland, so I guess we miss out on a tournament for the first time since 2002......after our excellent run in the 2014 World Cup, it's something I could've never imagined happening.

If both Turky and Netherland end with same points, does they go for head to head or Goal difference?

^Head to head, which is why Turkey has to lose in order to give us a chance to qualify. Only a Dutch win accompanied by a Turkish loss would allow the Netherlands national team to qualify for the play-offs, so the odds are not in our favour now.

Israel I understand since they would have stadiums burned down in away trips to any matches in the Middle East.

But Azerbijan and Kazahkstan, WTF that's Asia. Just throw them in Asian qualifying with Uzbekistan. People already have long trips to Georgia and Armenia. No need to have one in each group.

They're in Europe just as Turkey is.

Albania about to make history and participate in European Championship for the first time ever!

However, still a bit bitter and sad with the disappointing loss vs. serbia, and all the other losses that mainly came in the extra time. The Albanian NT players just can't keep themselves concentrated to the end of the whistle. Glad that there were 2 fast goals vs. Armenia, but anything can happen.

France, here we come!

Albania qualified for the Euro 2016. It will be their first appearance in major tournament - EC or WC. Greetings for all albanian fans here. :)
