All four teams in the semifinals played all their group games at home.
- England: 3x London
- Denmark: 3x Copenhagen
- Italy: 3x Rome
- Spain: 3x Seville
Uefa and Fifa are for decades helping to richest countries (or to countries where the football is making the most money).
For both parties, it is better if England/Spain reach finals and win it than random Czech, Croatian or Romanian NT.
For years, big countries/club teams will get a push in tough moments (pens, red cards, lot of free kicks around the box) against less rich countries.
And this part about home matches is another example.
Further, people shit about England and home matches, but they at least have 4 clean victories out of 5 matches and a draw vs Scotland.
They conceded zero till now, right?
Spain, on the other hand, played 3 matches at home, managed to win 1 match, and in total won 1 match out of 5 over 90 minutes.
If Uefa wasn't helping to big teams in terms of refereeing and home matches, half of these teams would never be here.
Football is a nice sport, but is far from being fair play and rigged-free.
