That no. 4 goal, I had something similar in mind.

Also, can't really call his goals lucky. Sure, there is some luck involved but when you're doing it on a regular basis for as long as he did it's not just luck. It's a skill that you're almost always at the right place at the right time and natural goal instinct which can't be learned. You either have it or you don't. OTOH he wouldn't score as much nowadays with VAR if he wouldn't adapt. IIRC SAF once said that Pippo was born in offside.

I am looking forward to the final.
I want England to win.
Luck was on their side in reaching the final.
They were the better team in the semi.

But credit where credit is due. Well done Italy.

Which national teams have gone on the longest unbeaten runs?
Team Matches Tenure
Brazil 35 1993-1996
Spain 35 2007-2009
Italy 33 2018-present
Argentina 31 1991-1993
Italy 30 1935-1939
France 30 1994-1996
Algeria 27 2018-present
West Germany 23 1978-1981
France 23 2010-2012

33 unbeaten games for Italy is outstanding, and the greater momentum is with them.

To keep the record, does that mean all Spanish fans want England to win? :)

33 unbeaten games are great though they don't face top teams often during that streak.

Italy have won 28 of the 33 matches, including extra time and penalty shootouts, and drawn five.

The unbeaten run began with a 1-1 draw against Ukraine 10 October 2018.
They won 11 games in a row soon after to set a new national record for consecutive victories.
Their victims over the 33 game unbeaten run include USA, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Netherlands, Poland, Northern Ireland and Czech Republic.
In Euro 2020, they've beaten Turkey, Switzerland, Wales, Austria, Belgium and Spain.
Italy have scored 86 goals over the unbeaten run, conceding just 10.
Brazil and Spain currently hold the record for the longest unbeaten run in international football, both with 35 matches to their name from 1993-1996 and 2007-2009 respectively.
National world.

Unbelievable how biased it's been for them.

How? The Sterling penalty should not have been given against Denmark, but the one on Kane should have been. There was another blatant one in the Scotland game not given as well.

Can't say I'd care if another countries fans booed my national anthem. Would just fire me up. I'd be hoping for it tbh. Guess depends what sort of mentality you have. Unless your name is Jordi Alba who would most likely cry, I reckon it gets a lot of players going. I'd be asking my fans not to boo so to not fire the other team up.
