are you really asking? he got skinned many times over in important games against decent teams/players we already knew that, but against 80% of LL and some CL teams he works more than well

Lack of a midfield controller and an unstable backline is going to be an issue for them.

Not at all. It's these 5-4-1, ten men behind the ball anti-football games that are the grind.

Kind of reminds me of the old compulsories in figure skating. You have to grind through that boring shit before you have a chance to really skate.

What could help is a exponential scoring system. 1 point for your 1st draw, 0.75 points for your second, 0.50 points for your third. 3 points for your first win, 3.5 points for your second, 4 points for your third. That would make it much harder to advance to the knockouts playing anti-football. Would force teams to leave their own box.

IMO the XI that started the Croatia game was one of the worst Spain presented over the last 15-20 years

Only Rodri, Pedri, Lamine, and Nico were WC players.
The others ranged from pure trash to meh at best
