aye just like you said about Jose Enrique. we all know to trust your views on players at 'smaller' clubs.

Best defence in the league along with Man U and Man C. it's FACT! Coloccini has been a MASSIVE REASON WHY!

You can continue drinking your hater-ade though. It will only serve to make you look even more foolish when everyone else (football public in general and pundits) wake up to the fact that Coloccini is a World Class Center Back and has been fantastic for the last 2 and a half years.

Delusional.

just like I was delusional about Jose Enrique no doubt. Your football knowledge is so great...............NOT.

we'll see how high Coloccini's stock has risen come the end of the season, like we did with Enrique.

I just don't rate average players.

Coloccini is 29 now.... He'll be staying at Newcastle.

Collocini is a class defender and seems to have reached his promise that people once had for him.

I'd certainly have him over Carragher, Skrtel and Coates. I'll give you Carragher because of what he means for Liverpool fans but the other two. Not a chance.

Bingo.

Coloccini is a great defender. Only to the Newcastle United standards!

Udinese has conceded just 1 goal in 6 matches in Serie A so far. That doesn't make all their defenders 'World Class'!

I'm not saying all Newcastle defenders are world class. ONLY 1 of them. ANd if you were to watch Newcastle for 90 minutes every week you would be saying the same thing.

Good defender but what a sitter he missed vs Spurs last week. I was screaming at the TV!

Cabaye is my favourite Newcastle player, he's brilliant. Bargain of the season imo.

Aye I can't believe he missed that one. We would have been in 3rd place if he scored that goal.

And yeah, Cabaye is a fantastic signing, 4 million pounds only. Can't believe how good he is. He's still adapting to the Premier League as this is his 1st season, so he will only get better. I think the fact that he won the French League last season is part of the reason why we are so high in the table, with him coming in with the mentality of a Champion. Just my view on it.

Good luck today against Stoke. That will be a tough game for you guys.

Case for the defence! Liverpool ramp up interest in Newcastle captain Coloccini

Case for the defence! Liverpool ramp up interest in Newcastle captain Coloccini

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is weighing up a move for Newcastle captain Fabricio Coloccini in a January transfer window move to boost his defence.

The Reds boss is keen for the club to push for Champions League football this season, but defensive frailties are hampering progress.

Dalglish sees Coloccini as the ideal fit in a back four currently being marshalled by 33-year-old stalwart Jamie Carragher.
Reds alert: Coloccini could be another to switch St James' Park for Anfield

The club's director of football, Damien Comolli, has been to scout the 29-year-old Argentine and the club could consider a move in the approaching transfer window, according to the Mirror.

Dalglish has already made two high-profile swoops on the St James' Park club with striker Andy Carroll and Jose Enrique arriving in January and August respectively.

And again with Coloccini, Liverpool chiefs are hoping the lure of playing at Anfield will be enough to convince the player that is where his future lies.

Liverpool can F--K OFF!

Don't worry as I said I don't want him. Plus I doubt Newcastle will sell us their 3 best players all within a year. More than likely, if they do sell him, they'd prefer to sell him to another club, even if we offer more money.

Newcaste owner Mike Ashley is ONLY INTERESTED IN MAKING A PROFIT!

Coloccini's contract is up soon. He is contract negotiations. Watch Mike Ashley mess him about by offereing him worse terms than he is on now, which will make him say, screw this, I can get more elsewhere.

Then he says it was the player that wanted to leave, when in actual fact it was him forcing the player to leave by offering worse terms than he was already on.

Colo has 2 years to run on his contract. I think they will offer him a worse deal than he's on already. Therefore hopefully he will run down his contract all the way as he loves Newcastle and his family seems to love it too.

he is Newcastle's most important player. He has been our best player this season also. He is the best center back Newcastle have ever had IMO. Even better than Woodgate in his prime, who Newcastle sold to Real Madrid for 16 million pounds.
