This is one of the worst deals in the history of business.

Clowns on here were trying to give Barto shit for the Qatar and Rakuten deals

Clueless.

This has all been discussed before but it wont be naming right any company will pay for as will still be Camp Nou.

It is to add their name to that so 'Camp Nou Spotify' or something similar and wont get same money for that.

Wont be classed as 'stadium naming rights' as other clubs have for new stadiums as current name just gets added to.

Well that explains why the "record deal" Spotify/Polkadot exceeds Rakuten/Beko by 14m even though Messi isn't there anymore: Because Barca just sold off more stuff than in previous deals.

Let's hope it is 88m indeed. It could be less.

I see Catalan Radio mentioning the difference between "naming rights" and "title rights". What exactly is the difference? The former would completely erase "Camp Nou" vs. the latter would keep "Camp Nou"?

80m for the shirt
20 for the stadium rights potentially.

Where is that coming from? Source yesterday claimed it's 68m from Spotify and 20m from Polkadot, both total.

I suppose that's what it means. Like "Camp Nou Spotify"

In that case I'd rather get less money and just sell the title rights and keep "Camp Nou" than erase "Camp Nou" just to sell for a few more bucks a year. And imagine 10-15 years later having to rename it again as something completely different because some other company bought the naming rights.

I don't see a problem in selling the naming rights to the Stadium right now. It may even be a smart move. Do it so the deal expires before the newly revamped Camp Nou is unveiled and then charge a premium when the facilities are upgraded and go into full naming rights.

You may say, keep it clean until the Camp Nou is renovated so that we can charge more but which sounds nice in theory, but in reality would that really be the case?

It is not a problem itself to sell the naming rights or title rights right now, the problem is if we are selling us too short, if we were to believe the numbers given by Catalan Radio (60 - 65m which includes (1) the front of the game jerseys (2) the training kits and (3) title rights of Camp Nou).

I know once finished, the Nou Camp Nou is supposed to be so much better and has a lot more grandeur compared to the one we have right now, but if we set a precedent of selling the title rights or naming rights whatever for too little money, it will be hard for us to ask for a lot more later on, even though the facilities will be a lot better granted, again.

We are desperate for money, I understand, but we can't sell us too short otherwise it will have future ramifications. I am hoping we are still driving a hard bargain trying to ask for more right now from Spotify, hence the deal has not been announced yet. Let's hope.

Bar?a is studying the possibility of selling 49% of the club to powerful investors. They recognize that the current model is outdated, and want to adopt a similar policy to clubs like Bayern Munich. The project is still in its early stages.

Disgusting if true, this is a way for them to turn the club into a SAD and eventually get sold. Socis can and will veto this. Bayern members owns 75% of their club, not 50% by the way.

Shame on Ferran Reverter if this is not just a baseless rumor.

Apparently Ferran Reverter is pushing hard for it to happen

On paper, the socis would still own the majority of the club, and would take the important decisions. The idea was first brought up by Bar?a CEO Ferran Reverter, to help with Bar?a's difficult financial situation.

Isn't he the executive Tebas said is bad news? And the one who cost us Messi
