Nah, we won't get 200m for 49% of Barca Studios. It was initially budgeted around 50m for 49% of it. In my opinion it is a business that has a lot of potential, but it is currently not generating a lot of revenue. It is a good move to have investors and more importantly entertainment industry professionals taking a lead in order for Barca Studios to make the next jump.

BLM on the other hand is already generating us a lot of money (60m before COVID, down in the last couple of years and is coming back up this year), it could be going for 200m or more for 49% of it but the board decided to not sell it and I agree with them.

"The Blaugrana club, however, will need the activation of a third lever before the League begins in order to register the signings made, as well as the renewed Sergi Roberto and Demb?l? . Because Bar?a has another backpack, that of the wage bill that is exceeded. The problem can only be solved with the departure of footballers or with an increase in income. They calculate in Bar?a that they will need about 100 million more between one thing and the other."

The cap system is still extremely limiting.

And lets not forget that in August we have the renewal of Gavi to conclude.

Insane when you think about the fact that we have raised 600m and still can register players such was/is the economic mess we are in.

Also time for Frankie to go!

Most journalists wrote the last days that with the 2nd lever we will be out of the 1:3 LL restriction, and on 1:1

It's not insane. Or not in the way you put it. Just nothing any normal club would ever think to do considering the risk level. If anything this could mean you're in more of a mess anytime within next 3 years.

| JUST IN: FC Barcelona are already working on the third economic lever & if it's completed, Frenkie De Jong's departure will no longer be necessary.

News like the above suggest otherwise.
That the reason we are doing 3rd lever is Frenkie's unwillingness to leave, which from the start of the window has been conditionally linked to Bernardo's transfer.
Then, are we doing 3rd lever to get Bernardo and park Frenkie permanently on the bench and force him to leave that way?

Unsure. Seems the third lever is to guarantee all salary cap restrictions are lifted for next seasons squad and finalise the fullbacks and cb.

Then Frenkie will be 1:1 for Xavi's preferred mid (Bernardo), but not a priority.

This is a hail Mary to give us a competitive squad right now. If it fails better wave the white flag.

But one of the benefits is that it gives us greater bargaining power to sell as we do not rely on selling. Something that I had complained that we faced last season with regards to how the salary cap and Tebas words affected our sales potential.
