FC Barcelona Finances

Thanks mate, that one is helpful. Although it doesn't open for some reason.
Few comments:

It also includes if the translation is current griezmann wages, which is maybe 30m euros, I'm not sure if the translation here is correct but seems that way.
According to a translation I read in Arabic site, Griezmann sale is already counted, so his wage isn't counted.
That goes with what Tebas confirmed before, that they have already counted Griezmann's sale.

this number includes 90M euros from teams outside the first, ( basketball, women's team etc).

Best numbers I've seen yet, of the actual situation re our wages structure, apparently they intend to cut wages on the basketball team back dramatically.

That one is massive, Barca has the most teams among Spanish clubs IIRC, at least relevant ones. Laporta has doubled down and strengthened woman's team, basketball team and Handball's team. Basketball team is by far the most expensive one. Mirotic alone has 5M net contract, that is over 9M for the highest paid player in Europe, and apparently he is leaving.
How much are we planning to save though? 10M? 40m? Those are massive differences tbh.
Those teams were always subsidized by football team (and government) and it makes sense that we stop that.
But the amount of cut is essential.
Also, Barca B is one of the other teams, this means that we will need to make some cuts there too. Time for austerity.

It also includes 50m from players who are currently out on loan, umtiti, dest, lenglet etc.

That one is again massive, and they are saying 20M out of those for Umtiti's alone.
That is sadly bad news, because it means we deferred most of his wages when he renewed for next season, that will cost us dearly now.
And it also means that Umtiti will have to accept significant paycut to get rid of him.
Other loans are few Barca B players whom we will get got offers for, Nico who is neutral value, Abde whom we can sell or loan (or bring back), Collado who we should cut ties with, and Lenglet and Dest. The last two are probably the biggest possible and realistic cuts. If I have to take a guess they are at least 20M out of the remaining 30M. Dest will be tough to get rid of but I think another loan would help.

Overall, if we can cut 30M of those, it will be huge.

So if we can get rid of these players on loan and trim the wage bill outside of the first team by 10-15m, we would be at around the 470m euros mark.

According to Swiss ramble, real Madrid wage bill is around the 480m euros mark, if we get ours down to 470-480m, by the end of the summer, I wanna see what tebas will come with next to fuck us over.

Tebas was clear that this season we are on 400M wage, that is why we are at 40% rule (that was 1:4) and not 1:1
So it isn't a good news at all, Real is 80M over us. And we will have Balde contract getting bigger soon.
We will be adding more players too. and even if we can register them we risk making accounting losses that will affect next season.

Xavi and his assistants are also demanding significant pay raise, which is the reason contract isn't signed yet.

But there are some positives:

Next year is probably our lowest allowed cap space, because it is our only full season outside of Camp Nou. It will improve once we are back and peak once the stadium is completed. 24/25 season is questionable though as construction rarely follow schedule.

Also, next year we are paying Busquets remaining deferred wage, we are paying 40% of of Alba salary, Lewandowski contract is artificially made that next season is the highest one (essentially making his 1st season the lowest, in order to ease registeration) and I suspect the same was done for several signings. Fremkie renewal will slash his amortisation too.

Overall, this means the club will need strong austerity measures in all departments and it is time for other teams to be one supporting 1st team football and not the opposite, and this should remain for few years till stadium is complete.

We will need to be super smart with our signings too, and to be stingy a little bit. No need to spend every penny we can.
Also, very few players should be untouchable tbh
Things should be much better then in 2024 if we don't suffer from total accounting loss, and probably we will be 1:1 rule by then.

Just hope Laporta will accept that and prepare for it. Which seems the case as we are making peace with Tebas and may even do the same with UEFA

@khaled_a_d, among those things you said I agree that other sections should help support the austerity measures (Laporta wanted to cut at least 15m from the basketball section, all other sections, even the handball section are facing cuts, except for the women's football section. I don't like it but it is what it is), however I don't understand why wages for those other sections, especially the non-football sections should be considered part of the wage mass that La Liga regulates. They have their own federations and governing bodies, why should La Liga butt in?

The other sections shouldn't count towards the LaLiga football salary cap calculations.

I'm surprised it has taken this long and it still hasn't been fractionalised independently

Perhaps there were benefits previously, but it does not make sense to have other sports liabilities included.

I think most would think the same, but I wonder if that's how it has to be done in Spain?.

Does Madrid 480m salary include their basketball team and other sporting areas as well?.

If it doesn't, our wage bill would already be below theirs at 430m euros.

Obviously just guess work re that aspect.

Yeah, each sport should be looked at independently and not be in the same picture, including the Femeni which is governed by Liga F, not La Liga. La Liga should just get the fuck out.

Madrid has no other sports other than men's basketball while we have men's and women's basketball (just got promoted and professionalized this year I believe), handball, futsal and roller hockey on the professional side; ice hockey, volleyball, rugby league, rugby union, track and field and wheelchair basketball on the amateur side. Professional or not they are mostly Barça athletes (women's basketball and volleyball shared with CVS?) and are on our payroll.

Why are we still broke

Coz Barto gave into the amigos too much, and also took Pique advice too much.

The German Dietloff von Arnim, candidate for the presidency of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), is clear that, after the "disaster" with Kosmos, a company owned by Spanish Gerard Piqué, the organization must "consider very carefully"

“The disaster we have experienced with Kosmos has massive financial consequences for the ITF. The ITF has massive damage, it is a multi-million dollar disaster for the ITF,"

Oof.

Keep Pique as far away from the Barcelona Presidency as possible. I don't want to see him ever becoming President.

He's just going to be a poor man's Sandro Rosell. A man with connections and a self-proclaimed master businessman who ends up tanking us.

I am not sure, sounds more like a dispute between ITF and Kosmos regarding what they wanted to do with the Davis Cup than Kosmos being delinquent or Pique himself being incompetent etc.

Will leave this here and in Basketball section.

Mirotuc is on 11M Euros per year for 2 years, and refusing to leave any money. Which kills the plan for Basketball salary reduction.

Edit: We offered him solutions that will get him even bigger total money (from us and new team) and he said no.
