FC Barcelona Finances

Does that include salaries of former players as well or just the squad registered for the Champions League?
Those wages are included in the wage bill as per reports. And we all know how huge those Barto wages were.

It makes total sense since those are still wages that the club has to pay. They were just delayed due to covid, not cancelled. So, the money owed to Messi, Suarez, Alba, Busi, all of the amigos basically, are still paid.

Except pique, the only real brother of the lot.

But that's being said I'm not giving up all that money either

Still better than the other greedy fucks that fleeced the club while getting shat on in CL year after year. That being said, a decent club president is there to not allow the club to get in that position and let the players run the show... so no matter how you swing it, Bartomeu is still a terrorist, since he was in charged of the whole thing.

Was already proven that Pique didn't waive his entire deferred salary.
Besides the guy is almost as shady as Rosell given his other shenanigans so I'm not taking whatever he says as the truth.
His company Kosmos have their accounts frozen due to a corruption investigation regarding the RFEF-Supercopa-Saudi deal.

There you go... I figured as much. The wage bill is inflated by huge wages deferred from Barto days.

When those stop (Laporta publicly said that Messi's back-wages stop sometime during 2025), the wage-bill is gonna go down by a lot.

Things indicate 2026 is gonna be the year we recover. Camp Nou in effect, revenue back up, deferred wages done with. Things can change hugely in our favor.

Let's see if in 2026 the cost of the staff drops by around 300m... Amigos should be done with by then with all their deferred payments.

Even without the deferred wages, FC Barcelona has always paid wages above the market to lure stars to the club. The big difference is, under Nuñez they always sold the big stars before they ballooned the wage bill to the moon. The sad truth is that since Gaspart took over in 2000, the wage bills have never returned under control. In 2003 and 2010 there were some silly attempts to pretend they tried, the whole printer ink nonsense with Sandrusco Rosell was just embarrassing.

The dream of cause is if they were to copy the structure straight from Bayern Munich, the president and the board should have no involvement at all in player acquisitions, Bartomeus disastrous signings has practically sunk the club (hundreds of millions pissed away on transfers and wages).

The main problem as I see it is that presidents win elections on stupid promises on bringing in star players, wages balloon to the stars and the club end up with over paid and under performing primadonnas.
