Sir Jim Ratcliffe's cost-cutting at Manchester United has now included the staff's generous Christmas bonus being replaced by just a £40 voucher for M&S.

Disgraceful stuff from the club.

But forum clowns wanna tell me we should have sold to Ratcliffe when he had the chance

Your stretching bro. Besides, the M&S single roast granular coffee is amazing.

Because they aren't a bunch of conspiracy theorist would be my guess.

What conspiracy theorists?

Would you sign a contract at your new job without knowing what your salary will be? Or would you just believe your boss you'll earn more than at your previous job? But how much more? 5%, 10%, 20%?

Barca is owned by socios and at least they (if not other millions fans in the world) should know how much money club is getting from our main sponsors. Just saying it's the best deal in club's history doesn't mean much. Every next deal should be better than the previous one or else we are doing something very wrong. Using "confidentiality" as an excuse just makes it much more likely the deal is nowhere near as good (I'm not saying it's actually good) as being reported/leaked to the media.

Laporta was accusing previous board for their lack of transparency. But only thing he was transparent about were first few weeks/months when he was throwing skeletons out of the closets so he could blame Bartomeu for the state he left the club in. But he's been back in the office for almost 4 years now and can't use those excuses anymore.

We've sold Barca Studios (still without receiving all the money) and future TV incomes but still can't register players and don't know what exactly we have to do to get back to that famous 1:1 rule. First they've said a new Nike deal will be enough for that but now that's not the case.

We don't know when we will return to the Camp Nou, they are just pushing the return further down the line every few months. Personally I would have no problems if they would say we won't return before start of next season (which will probably happen) but just be transparent and honest about that.

And there are other unanswered questions that I'm sure a lot of socios have or questions that should be asked but never are because socios usually just do what the big boss tells them to do. But how can you even vote when you don't have probably the most important information like the overall value of the contract. Maybe they'll reveal more details on the assembly next week but I think if that would be club's plan they would already do that.

I know you are a big Laporta fan but we shouldn't just blindly believe in everything he says (and he usually talks too much for our own good) and does (we don't really know what he's doing because there is close to zero transparency).

If we are a democratic institution, the deals the leader signs have to be publicly accountable and able to be scrutinised by the socios.

Otherwise, there is a risk the leader can abuse their power. Whilst Laporta wouldn't do it, if we had another leader like Bartomeu they can wreck the finances of the club by signing secret agreements and messing them up.

We broke because of politics

❗️Then Barcelona CEO Ferran Reverter called Jose Elías, Laporta's biggest financial backer, to explain that the club was signing to CVC deal to register Leo Messi in 2021. Jose Elias threatened to withdraw his money if that happened, so Laporta had to abort the plan.

According to the La Liga:▫️

Barcelona’s salary cap: €426M

Actual Salaries: €583MThe club STILL exceeds the limit by €157M. 🔵🔴💰

[cope]
Just crazy

According to capology, the salary fund of the current squad is 192 million euros (including 2 million [Lenglet] and 4 million euros [Gündogan]

Let's take the 200 figure with the coaching staff salaries included.

598 - 200 = 398 million euros.

398 million euros is the amount we owe most likely to Messi and the amigos.

That's just insane. We will be paying off these debts for probably 10 years.

1-Caplogy is a shit source that has no clue whatsoever of the real wages, that has been established several times.

2-This is wages, salary cap includes amortization. ime, the transfers of players (and agent fees + signing bonuses) divided over the number of their contracts.

Caplogy is a great source.

The data marked with a green sign is 100% reliable.

I didn't think about depreciation, it's probably included in that figure.

Wrong again. It has proven time after time, whenever a contract got leaked it was far from it. Including Frenkie and Messi himself whom you are complaining about.

Capology relies in journalists, and say they use different sources. They forget that journalists lies and they quote each other.

We should forget him mate, I tried to explain this to him, but he doesn't care and just uses whatever shit source that he can get to support his shitty argument.

Financially good deals are never made in last seconds when your back is against the wall.

It's just another bad deal to keep more bad deals (Lewa, Frankie, Fati..)

It's like struggling to pay your rent while keeping a luxury car that barely starts and eats up tons of gas.

CLEAN THE HOUSE.

Unlike in American Sports where the player's contracts are available to the league and people that cover their sports, that doesn't apply to football in Europe.

All the player contracts in Europe are not publicly available. The only ones who have the knowledge of the contracts are the player, agent and the club.

Capology just takes the average of all the random reports and put it out there. It's already been proven false multiple times when a player's actual contract have been leaked.
