In the end if the CVC deal goes through and most La Liga clubs get beefed up and reinforced as a result of getting the money and the league grows stronger, it is a big win for us even without our participation.

Growing the pie bigger is good for all of us.

What does it mean stay on the sidelines of the agreement?

Couldn't have registered Messi now? Ah well... too late.

Basically clubs like us, Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao who oppose the deal can opt out and keep our shares of the future TV revenue intact, and we won't receive any money from CVC.

Those clubs that want to participate in the deal will get the money.

Not sure logistically how this will fly, does it have to be approved by all to go through? Also not sure how RFEF's opposition will affect it.

Ah, good then. So no money from CVC for us while still keeping our shares eh?

How much money is Tebas getting under the table from this CVC deal.

Look how hard he is pushing this horrible deal on La Liga.

It means the other clubs will receive a huge cash investment but will be required to give up 10% of their viewing rights for the next 50 years, while Barca and Madrid will receive nothing and not give up any of their rights.

This is actually the best case scenario for Barca/Madrid. La Liga gets stronger while Barca and Madrid can continue to rebuild without giving up their viewing rights.

Also Madrid/Barcelona maintain their autonomy on the runnings of the clubs (CVC/LaLiga require clubs to invest certain percents in marketing, social media activation etc. Not a bad thing for small clubs but not a need for clubs bigger than LaLiga).

The CVC money the rest of the clubs receive is a loan anyways (though zero percent) and it is with performance stipulations and having to do as CVC/LaLiga say basically.

CVC looks pretty desperate to get it done, there must be something they are banking on.

Wonder why they didn't try something like this for Serie A and Bundesliga earlier, basically having an opt-out clause/a deal that does not encompass all clubs within the league.

LaLiga has the biggest growth potential. Home of the biggest two clubs outside of EPL and the overall biggest clubs in football over the last 20 years.

They must feel the effects of the ownership, even with Real Madrid and Barcelona peripherally part of it, is worthwhile.
