Fernando Torres

I remember him skinning Jones and Jones was fault for the goal as well.

yes, he skinned Jones once. and Jones owned him for the rest of the game.

as for the goal  get real, Ed.

Torres was close to Evans, he was in front of Evans and behind Jones. in short, he was Evans' man. and it was Evans who let him run in behind (does Jones have eyes in the back of his head?) without following him or letting Jones know what was happening. it was also Evans that Torres beat to get 1v1 for his big miss.

basically, Torres played well against Evans, not so against Jones.

Don't think Torres is finished, I'm still waiting until the end of the season before I pass judgement on the guy.

Unlucky Fernando, I think is going to make a comeback. AVB brought in some rly creative players and that is what's going to bring the life back in Torres' game.

Chelsea should sell him ASAP.. I'm sure that club who bought Eto'o would buy him...

He's crap.

He totally took your defense apart on four (4) occasions. You were lucky that he blew 2 of them, and Ramires blew the other.

I have felt recently that Torres may have finished as a world class footballer, but his display against United suggests otherwise. He brought United to face a losing situation, but due to bad luck coupled with poor confidence, the chances went begging.

What his detractors failed to note, was that his movement and energy were back to old glorious levels. Confidence will surely come back once a few goals are scored. And I would not so readily mock Torres if I were a United fan.

He's still crap. I think a Spanish club might buy him... Malaga.

finished isn't the word I'd use.

regressed is what I'd say.

he looks just like he did at Atleti. magnificent pace, power & technique, and then awful finishing.

Torres has been cumbersome since early 2010, when he suffered numerous injuries. Then, in late 2010 he seemed to have regained some form (remember his 2 goals against Chelsea) But after moving to Chelsea in Jan 2011, has virtually been a slouch. But last Sunday, I saw many glimpses of the Torres of old. Had he scored just one of the two chances that he created and missed, everyone would now be singing words of praise. The way things appear now, Torres is just missing just a little edge, and some addition of confidence, which is to be expected after such a horrible period of poor form. I also think that he does not get along well with some of the Chelsea players, especially the old established ones (Lampard, Terry, Drogba, Cole etc) All those guys should be out of the picture pretty soon, except Terry me thinks.
