I dunno. I used to think he was finished, but when he plays it looks a lot like a Forlan-ManUnited situation. He just doesn't click with his team and they aren't utilizing his skillset. Check out this vid of every goal he scored for Liverpool. He was so fucking good that there's no way he could have lost it:

it's so funny watching that. you can literally see the decline happen before your eyes in the type of goals he scores.

07/08 he's like a force of nature. physically fully fit and with knowledge of how every goalkeeper reacts. he just beats the shit out of everyone.

08/09, he's already slowed down and is scoring more "striker-y" type goals. still a great goal threat but that's all he is.

09/10, slower still. has a brief resurgence where you think he may get back to what he was, but we all know how that ended.

10/11, a shadow of his former self.
