I'd love it at Barcelona, and would prefer him to Villa due to age, but I think it's extremely unlikely at this point.

he's said he would like to try other leagues one day. like German league. He's already seen everything to do in spain.

so he would swap EPL for EPL but he would go to another spanish team except Atletico? i think you just keep telling urself he will come to barca because you fancy him :p

Well Bayern needs a striker...

Bundesliga would be an interesting move for him though, I have to admit. As long as he doesn't go to Serie A, I'd hate to have to put myself through watching those matches for him.

Will be interesting to see where he ends up. I'd still much rather have Villa, but he's certainly an upgrade on Ibra. If he moves it'll be to a CL club, so I doubt he'd go to City. Whether Chelsea would pay huge money an whether Liverpool could stomach selling him to a rival I'm not sure. Serie A would be an option, not sure who'd go in for him though.

Yeah, hate Chelsea so I definitely don't want to see him there, could happen though I guess. And Serie A would be a MAJOR step backwards, so I can't see him there either.

Possible, especially since they need someone as well and if they win the CL final this year they will look a very good choice

This is Edward here, hacking into my wife's account! I still want and need a break from this place but I have had some serious, serious information regarding Torres, by people inside the club.

1) Chelsea and Man city HAVE BOTH made a bid of £70m for Torres. Torres will only leave liverpool this season for a CL team so he will no go to city.

2) I have heard it from those people and they aren't from the internet, they hardly visit football sites, that Chelsea are really tempting Liverpool with an amazing offer.

3) Abramovich has held talks with Christian Purslow and whilst nothing definite happened, Roman was quite happy at the end of the meeting.

4) He sees Torres as the Marquee signing for Chelsea in their pursuit for european success, and will do what it takes to get him. Therefore Rafa has told Purslow to see if Zhirkov, Kalou and Anelka can be part of the deal PLUS the £70m. When Purslow came back from the meeting from Roman, Rafa was surprised at the answer he received as Roman is willing to throw in those players and £70m for Torres.

5) Roman is willing to give £70m and £20m worth of players for Torres as he wants to not only get the player for the sake of improving chelsea but show off to the world that chelsea can still compete for the big names.

6) Torres wants to stay in england. The only clubs he'd leave england for are Barcelona and the big 3 in italy. If Ancelotti can add a few spanish players to that squad then Torres would be interested - so I've been told.

7) My friend told me there is 25% chance torres and rafa being here next season. Torres believes rafa has subtly put doubts in liverpool supporters minds about torres commitment and passion for liverpool. Make no mistake if Liverpool were in the CL next season Torres wouldn't contemplate leaving.

8) Can I tell you how much Rafa/new manager has to spend in the summer with no player sales? £7.6m pounds.......

Ok im outta here time end of may, i will be up until 12 tonight if people have questions on this though.

I am hoping he chooses Barca over Chelsea, if Barca makes an offer. UUUUGH CHELSEA :banghead:

I do agree he would never go to City though. And I am hoping Barca sounds better for him also if the opportunity arises, because of his recent comments about the EPL re: his injuries

I'd force a move if I was on his place.

Loving a club is one thing, but giving your best years for it, without seeing any real perspective on your sight - it's another one. Liverpool is a lost cause, until the club ownership change don't happen, so right now even Chelsea looks like a step higher for him. At least he'll be competing for something.

I doubt Barca would be interested whilst you have Ibra in the squad. Barca would only be in the market for torres as a replacement for Ibra not as a partner. Whilst Villa is completely different. You see the rapport villa and torres have for spain, no doubts pep would like villa to replicate that with ibra.

If Ibra cannot, then I see him on the market, until then I don't. Plus really what club would or could afford ibra? Inter wouldn't want him back. Juve wouldn't want him and milan can't afford him. Would madrid actually be prepared to give barca money for ibra? thought not. Manure and fergie wouldn't want berbatov mark II at the club so it leaves either Chelsea or man city.
