Fernando Torres

He was quite good at the Euro 2012 also btw

No he wasn't. He was mostly a sub, and didn't start in the K.O(didn't play against POR). He fluked couple of goals against ROI, the weakest team in their group, and one against Italy as a sub. Two games Spain totally dominated, and would 've won despite. For someone who won the Euro Golden boot, he didn't even make the Team of the tournament. Balo was the stand-out striker, and its a travesty he lost the GB to the ladyboy.

As far as La Roja goes, DV7 has always outshone him.

Torres' constant injuries and lack of precision isn't gonna be of much help to Simeone. He will be a downgrade to Costa, in every sense. I'd rather they look at Benteke or Lukaku, two strikers, who can continue the Atléti tradition. They come with a resale value, and room for improvement, whilst offering whats needed upfront. Torres can join the Dutch league or something.

I think he's finished. His move to Chelshit ruined it for everyone, as it's a trend of this club to ruin top class strikers (Crespo, Shevechenko, Ba on a lower level...). It's sad to see him playing like he's at the moment. I find strange that some say was he ever any good, it's either they are too young at the moment and missed the peak of Torres 2006-early 2010, or they are blind. Quality is still there but his form and consistency are gone forever.

Or you don't remember he never lit it up for any team besides Liverpool. Not Atleti and not Spain and now not Chelsea. I concede was good for Liverpool

He could be the best goalscorer without being tied with other strikers but he decided to pass the ball to Mata when they were 2vs1 with Buffon.

Although, I agree about being a downgrade to Costa... He is never going to be as consistent and effective as he was in LFC back in the day and Simeone surely is aware.

10-15M is still too much for the player he has become. He's 30 years old as well... and then there's his wages :tata1:

No thanks. There are much better options for that money with much lower wages

10mil would be way to much for Torres, and his £175,000 a week wages don't help.
I don't see anyone paying more then 4mil for him.

Not a single shot on target against QPR :( Mourinho had a sly dig at him after the game as well
