Torres turned into such a joke, look at his stats for Chelsea in the epl, 104 games, 19 goals..., from the most clinical striker in the world to being finished for years no, such a huge drop in quality, leaving Chelsea would be best for everyone.

His injuries ruined him.

He looked afraid as soon as he joined Chelsea, complete shot of confidence. Instead of that huge fee making him feel like a complete world star, it hindered him and his average performance was as a result of him taking less risks;Ie less shots, less of them bursting runs, more hash toe punts etc.

Always trying to get the ball away asap, which shows you some glimpse into his mentality. Similar to Ozil, top top class as far as talent goes, but football is a mixture of physical as well as mental, neither are great mentally.

TBH Chelsea don't have a system for a striker to really thrive in with almost all of their mids having the shoot first mentality just look at Sturridge shit in Chelsea one of the top scorers in Liverpool

Was Torres ever really that good anyway?

I didn't rate him nearly as high as lost.

His best season at Atleti was 14 goals I believe in liga? Being the penalty kick taker and I also believe he averaged the most possession loses in the league per game then.

I mean a good forward but his Liverpool season and half or two was lone part of his career.

This is a bit of an exaggeration
