Poorest player in a Spain shirt in the first half with most things breaking down around him. Really seems to be struggling to find a bit of fitness.

Torres needs CONFIDENCE... Strikers more than any other in football are confidence players. Right now Torres has none but he'll find it. I'm hoping he'll start to get into a bit of rhythm now, provided he's not injured or something.

Kind of disappointed in that dive... REALLY not like him at all 
There was definite contact but the majority of it was just him exaggerating it from what I could tell. Is this what he is reducing to since he is not scoring? I sure hope not.
And he is still clearly not fit, even though he said he could play the whole match, it was good to sub him out... that missed goal at the beginning was very sad looking. He's probably so nervous since he's been gone so long and has failed to score so far too so that's also a contributing factor.

he did not dive, if you look at replays you can see that the Chile defender changed direction slightly when he and Torres clipped each other, it was accidental and certainly wasn't a foul or a red card they just crossed runs

Torres was clipped a bit, but he just oversold the contact.

Ok maybe not so much a blatant dive (he's not Ronaldo here) but it still looked exaggerated... he really shouldn't have gone down that hard. I can understand why the ref thought it was a foul because of how he went down. Red card a little much either way though.

playing at CF for a team like barca or spain is tough when you're off form. cause there's no waiting for you to pick yourself up. with players like xavi, if you're not in the right space for that millisecond, you're forgotten. best of luck to el nino.
What a diving, cheating c*nt! I've always maintained his playacting is up there with the likes of the thongboy and Drogba except he keeps it subtle and looks like a pansy tht ppl tend to oversee or forget it soon. He usually exaggerates every contact and strts whinging when things aren't going his way. Tonight's dive joins his one other such glorious dive against Inter in the Hall of shame.

Now that's taking it a little far.
I've been disappointed with his performance this WC (mixture of unfitness and nervousness makes him shit) and I really hate that he seems to have reduced himself to exaggerating to draw fouls. but to compare him to Ronaldo and Drogba, just no.
The other thing that frustrated me was that he had a SUPER clear shot at the beginning of the match and it went waaaaaay too high, Villa or almost anyone else really would have done better there. That + the semi-dive makes it really seem like he really shouldn't be there!
It frustrates me because I love him so much and I was looking forward so much to his return after being absent from the last several Liverpool matches, but it just isn't happening. I really hope for a miracle that he returns to form on Tuesday, Portugal is going to be an important match.
