Fernando Torres

Rooney, Drogba, and you could say Milito now. are all better than Torres.

I disagree about Rooney, he had one amazing goalscoring season yes, but could he do it next year?, for me on form Torres is probably on par with Drogba who IMO is the best striker in the world.

How can Torres be Level with Drogbarse on form? He hasnt been playing, and Rooney was easily the Best striker in the world this year, until that little ankle problem, and Rooney is a more completee player than all of them.

Drogba and Milito, in my opinion are typical target men, power/hold up play? Torres is more of a hit and run, turn and shoot type of player. Rooney is arguably the same role but to be fair if Torres gets the chance to play with better players around him, has all the potential to eclipse Rooney. Well I think anyway

Ok for one thing that was a promotional shot, the make-up artist did a horrendous job there.

make-up or no make-up, he looks more la niña than el niño

Although it seemed to turn our Villa on...

You couldn't 've found a better pic. :D
Villa wins by K.O ...:p The pic is also depictive of Villa's superiority over the pretender and how the former reigns supreme Spain's forward line and la niña 'll forever be in the shadow of Spain's best striker ever. :hooray:

Torres is heavily overrated only cause he is playing in EPL. Since he was still playing in La Liga you could hear nothing impressive about him. He was decent, but never best. But Zanela our Villa has mega max 3 seasons, meanwhile Torres has like 5-7 more seasons. Even though you can argue about his performances, but if he would play with such team like Barca, he'd defo improve in La Liga.

At similar age, Villa had better stats than Torres & that while playing for Sporting Gijón.
And about performing better with a team like Barca, Villa did the same while playing for relatively inferior teams in La liga. ;)
Villa in the next 3/4 yrs 'll set the bar even higher that Torres won't surpass his legacy even if he were given another 10yrs. :D

Villa never had to captain the 3rd fucking biggest club in spain when he was 19 or 20 did he and never had the pressure on him at that age that atletico were putting on torres?

Torres already has his own legacy - scoring the winning goal to give spain their first trophy in 40 years.

But he was completly and utterly in the shadow of Villa in the whole tournament...

How you think Torres is a flop I have no idea, but you do have a point about our youth system.

Agreed. Torres for me is a top 4 striker in all of football when he is 100% healthy and on form.

Some say he's overrated but I don't think he is. He's a difference maker and he could walk into any club and start. He plays a very important role for Spain also and if he's on, its gonna be very scary for the opposing defenses come World Cup time because its bad enough to deal with Villa and Silva and Iniesta on the wings but combine that with El Niño and you have a damn near invincible attack.

Difficult to contain for 90 minutes for anybody.

Euro '08 was much due to Xavi, Villa and Senna, the real heroes of the campaign and 'll always be remembered such. Anyone who says otherwise is EPL/Pool fan.

Rooney better than Torres? He may have more goals on paper this season but he also played several more matches than Torres even though both were injured.
Drogba? Ok, he may have scored more goals but he is also a diving wanker.
And Milito, he is great but he is also 30 going on 31, and probably will only be good for a couple more seasons imo.

Personally I give Xavi a lot of credit for the final match but you can't say that the guy who scored the winning goal is forgettable.

Rooney has been this year, easily.
Drogba has also been Better.
Milito has scored the Winning goals in every one of the titles Inter have won, age is no factor.

Whether you like it or not, all 3 havee been better.

Rooney, Villa and Drogba are the top 3.
