It's pretty incredible that Lewa got more votes than Suarez.

I mean Suarez tore Bayern to shreds and scored the winning goal in the CL final.

It's sad how little recognition he gets.

I suppose that's what biting and racial accusations will get you.

Casillas couldn't vote because the Spanish FA sent him the papers on the last day and he was travelling. Imagine something similar with Bravo and Buffon as I can't see their votes either.

Would have been nice to see Casillas vote for Messi.

On another note though, I dont get the Pogba inclusion and the total hype around him in general.
Marchisio did have a much bigger impact on Juve's CL run and their league title, and so had Vidal. The latter dropped in form a little since joining Bayern, but still won the Copa America.
Is there no such thing as a Marchisio fanclub? Cmon drop your Pogba and show some love for Claudio.

so, nearly 28% of the voting coaches, captains and journos think cristiano is the best player in the world  i'm more misanthropic by the day.

Also, Messi losing the puskas is a joke. Should've bagged it without a sweat, that brazilian goal isn't even anything special, much better acrobatic goals were scored last year.

And world XI with Ramos instead of Piqué, that one got the biggest laugh out of me.

Other few thoughts, Ronaldo got his majority of the #1 votes by muslims which proves my theory about the propaganda we see a lot on social media where Ronaldo is seen as pro Palestina and Messi as a zionist.

Is that why Israel captain & coach voted for Cristiano? Also, I just had a quick look at the list, and among Cristiano's 39 votes by the captains, only 9 are from Muslim majority countries, so not even a quarter.

so, nearly 28% of the voting coaches, captains and journos think cristiano is the best player in the world

Actually, only 20% of all voters put Cristiano in first place, as opposed to 60% for Messi. The way the system is set up, if 2-3 strong candidates stand against each other, even if everyone puts the same player in first place, the others are bound to get a lot of votes, as you have to pick 3 players.

You're right, forgot to specify this.

20% though. I feel like this is the year when Madridista who watch every RM game don't rate cristiano anymore, while many people who only pretend to watch or know keep the outdated opinion alive.
